Crab Curry

Crab curry is a dish cooked in hot Indian spices, best eaten with hot rice. This fragrant and delicious seafood dish is rich in colour and flavour.
Ingredients
- 3 Blue Crabs, Cleaned, Washed and Cut
- Salt and Pepper
- Fry and Keep Aside
- Curry Base:
- 1/2 Tsp Fenugreek Seeds
- 1 Tsp Mustard Seed
- 1 Tbsp Cumin Seed
- Curry Leaves
- 1 Onion, diced
- Pinch of Salt
- 2 Tbsp Fish Masala Powder Or any Curry Powder
- 1 1/2 Tsp Ginger and Garlic Paste
- 3 Tomatoes Roughly Chopped
- Adjust Water on your liking
- 1 Large Potato, diced
- Salt to Taste
- Black Pepper
- 2 Green Chillies, (Completely Optional)
- Garnish with Coriander leaves
- Serve Hot with Flat Bread, Naan or Rice!!!
Preparation
- Add some oil over high heat
- Add crabs, cleaned and washed
- Fry for 5-6 minutes
- Season with black pepper and salt to taste
- Keep aside
- Add 1/2 tsp of fenugreek seed in the same pan
- Add 1 tsp of mustard seed
- Add 1 tbsp of cumin seed
- Cook for 1 minute on medium low heat
- Add curry leaves
- Add 1 diced onion
- Add a pinch of salt
- Add 2 tbsp of fish masala powder
- Add 1 1/2 tsp of ginger and garlic paste
- Add 2 tomatoes roughly chopped
- Cover and cook for 5 minutes
- Add some water
- Add 1 large potato, diced
- Add salt to taste
- Add some black pepper
- Add some water
- Cover and cook for 20 minutes
- Add the crabs
- Cover and cook for another 5 minutes
- Add chillies (optional)
- Garnish with coriander
