Family-run restaurant that started out really small next to the main Curepipe bus station. The food was so good that it became really popular, and got enough revenue to open a small restaurant-snack in Malartic Road. The family that runs it love making food. They make their own spices, fruit juice, chilli sauce. I live in the Curepipe neighbourhood and have always relied on them for tasty everyday food when I have no time to cook. They are open between 10a.m. and 5p.m. There are set menus. Their delicious briani (mostly chicken, but there is beef briani on set days, and fish on others) finishes quickly, so get there before 13.00hrs at lunch time. You can either eat in, or take-away. This is a real neighborhood restaurant/snack worth visiting during the day.

The owners are friendly and always ready to please the customers. What attracts to me to this place besides the food is the simplicity and the no fuss attitude. The tiramisu is to die for!!!!!

I went there only once. Tried their margherita pizza. It was not bad. Except that it was not seasoned enough so it tasted bland and the pizza crust was a bit overcooked, almost burnt. There were not many customers and the waitress` service was average.

Was unsure when we arrived as decor and general setting very simple, access a bit odd to! Overall food was excellent, we had crab gratin and mussels , which were very tasty. Mains prawn curry and rice with delicious vegetables. My husband ordered the platter of seafood at 850,a lot of food on on plate! Sauce was a bit strange, should have been garlic butter, but not so.. Otherwise very well seasoned food, well worth a visit. The waiter only spoke english as he is from abroad!

Its set in a terrace above the main road. Good food and not so expensive.

La terrasse serves excellent typical mauritian food including fish dishes at a very affordable price (Rs 200 to 300 per main dishes). The atmosphere is very chilled out, it has a nice breeze and candle lights makes it very cosy. the staff is also very friendly. Only inconvenient is that since the restaurant is located above the main road, it can get noisy and it is not always easy to park. Overall is a very nice place to go with your partner or with some friends for a chilled out time.

The prices of the starters are about 100Rs and main courses which include rice and salad are mostly for 220Rs. The starter sammosa was not so good, but the main courses were nice and defintly give a great value for money (even steers is more expensive). The service was not good, but hye- what can you expect from a place so cheap?

La Terasse Is a very nice restaurant, or it is THE restaurant I have been looking for in a couple of weeks I was spending in Mauritius. Excellent food, well prepared and nicely decorated at fair and affordable prices. Service is quick, friendly and very helpful. I recommend this restaurant to anyone for a nice dinner.

I enjoyed the food here very much. Curry orite is my favorite. The prices here are very affordable. Beer is 50 rupees, curry orite 175 rupees. You can feel the family owned charm of this place.

Food & Drink: Really very good food, nicely prepared, took a little time to come but it was very delicious. Service: Very warm welcome & the staff do as you ask them to do the servings. I planned a small birth party there and it was awesome. Je suis vraiment tres content du service. Restaurant Atmosphere: Warm light, nice, calm, nice music, but just that when having the main course there was a little lack of light at the table where i was sitting but anyways the service made me forget this little light stuff. Vraiment trop accueillante Parking: I found a parking as well as my friend but if ever there is more vehicles then parking may be an issue. But overall, i am very very happy for the service, food and the way i was welcomed there. The staff helped to arrange for surprise for the small birthday party, it was awesome. ( cake, Champagne) thanks to all the Staff and the Management of this Resto.

Loved the salade d'ourite. simply mouth watering and delicious. A quiet cosy restaurant with good service and very affordable price with main course starting as from Rs250. I would surely recommend the salade d'ourite, it's my coup de coeur, looking forward to visit again during night time.

We have dined at this restaurant more than once during our holiday on the island and will come back & back. We cannot but highly recommend it. The menu is varied and the food is refined and well presented. The local ingredients are used in imaginative fashion to produce excellent dishes with disarming simplicity and illustrate the chef's qualities. Well done Fabio. Guy & Pat. Melbourne. Australia
