Always heard about Kimchi House, went there last week. Wanted to discover korean food in Mauritius. Specially the Bimbimbap, goyza dumplings... Barely seated, the server was already ahead of us to ask us to take our order. As there was the buffet that day, he was doing everything possible to persuade us to the buffet instead of a la carte menu. He was so persuasive and pertinant that I finally yielded. But I was quickly disappointed. The buffet was not varied. the service was too fast. There was not even time to enjoy our meal. And the worst: we were not allowed to taste this dish to another person at our table. And the server did not hesitate to tell us. Definitely, the service in some of our restaurants in Mauritius must improve.

I love korean food. The owner is very friendly and welcoming!!! Same goes to the waitress. Good service and she guides and explains about the food!!! Food delicious and we will definitely go back there..

Being a great amateur of Chinese Cuisine I decided to bring my parents there for dinner last Monday. Big Mistake! I ordered a whole lot of different nnacks and main course but they were all disgusting one after the other! I never ate so awful food in my whole life! Fried chicken and calamari looked dark and oily and were tasteless. Sweet and sour fish tasted bad and the calamari che chuan smelled bad. Never go there. such a deception

I have been to the King Dragon Twice, with groups of friends. We ordered the fondue (which you had to book in advance) both times. It was very tasty, and a novel way of cooking your own dinner. The service was good, they wasn’t much of an atmosphere in the restaurant, apart from at our table, but it was mid week that we went. The place was clean and tidy, and what you would expect from a Chinese restaurant. Overall I was very happy with the evening, and would go back again, and recommend other to go there.

Excellent restaurant. Nourriture de qualité (mention spéciale pour les crevettes avec beurre à l'ail) et service rapide. Excellent rapport qualité-prix. Restaurant recommandé sur Quatre Bornes (parking disponible across the road)

The restaurant is easy to find and is a popular location in Mtius. The menu boasts Mauritian Chinese cuisine at its finest. The atmosphere is nice although. It could do with an update in furnishing, but overall is clean and the customer service is pleasant. This is another restaurant that I would recommend to people. One word of advice to customers who order the steak with chips, please confirm whether you like your steak rare, medium or well done. Enjoy

I have been there more than a dozen times and the Chinese food is excellent. The service depends on whether you go there during peak time or not. You have a better service when its not crowded. Food is served within 20minutes and King prawn is their speciality. Very clean and friendly atmosphere. Nice choice to have family/friends gatherings and birthday parties :)

I was accompanied with my whole family, my lovely wife, sister, brother, sis & brother in law-Mahomed!! mum & dad. Foods was very excellent... Service, top top especially Mr Mike who is doing a marvelous work there.To be honest, this chinese should rate NO 1 in Mauritius!!

We were booked under the name Memon for dinner at 8pm on Friday 27 November It was a dinner for our family from UK. We arrived promptly and was sat on number 3. We had an elderly waiter dressed in a black waistcoat who gave us appalling service. We had to tell him to stop running away to other tables while ordering our food as his eyes were on other tables that he was serving too. We were very patient with him and felt like leaving the restaurant. As my elderly father was with us we could not just leave and eat elsewhere. Therefore we endured the poor service and settled the Rs3700 bill in cash. I complained to the cashier and to the waiter himself that I was not happywigh the service, I refused to top, I must let you know I am a businesswoman in fashion retail in Mautitius. I have lived in UK for 40 years and frequented many restaurants in several countries. This is the first time I have had to complain so strongly about poor restaurant service. No apologies were given nor can the manager be seen anywhere. Therefore I never plan to visit King Dragon again. Mrs Memon

Hello everyone It was our 1st visit in ur restaurant. There was no napkins. We had to asked for it. The service is too slow..we reached the resto at 19h30 and our main course were served at 20h30. The taste was good but the portion is few for the price. Hope that it will be taken into consideration.

we went there on the 24/7. i asked for a table and the guy told me to go in and then ask someone there. when we do get in, i went to talk with a man then he asked me to wait, he pushed us near the toilets and ask us to wait. we waited for 5 mins, i asked him again when will i have a table ( there was 5 free) he says soon you must wait for 30 mins as we are cleaning. I got very angry, because the service was very bad, not even a good evening, they don't even ask if they can help. they only push u aside and let you breath the toilets who wasn't smelling good at that time...... The authorities should give them courses because franchement ils etait nulle.

Worse chinese food I ever had!! The starters were crap, salty and felt it was kept for weeks. The main dish had mostly vegetables which were not fresh and the rice was raw. I would not recommend this place.

I went to l'Alchimiste twice for lunch. The food is absolutely perfect. The waiter explained to us that they produced all their ingredients on the premises of the estate in which the restaurant is found... from the spices, vegetables to the venisson, wild boar, duck and other meat they serve. They even prepare their own bread (such a delight). The cutlery is very nice and service is 5*. The only problem is that it's quite hot but you get refreshed by the food and drinks served. Their home cocktails from fresh fruits are just exquisite. I definitely recommend l'Alchimiste to everybody. You can also have a visit of their rum distillery facilities.

Habituée aux sandwich vite fait, l'Arabica m'a surprise avec son pain juste chaud et croustillant, qui donne une autre dimension au simple sandwich du coup... Celui au marlin fumé est très bon, avec un gout de 'revient z'y" ! Avec un jus d'orange juste pressé c'est le top ! ni amer, ni trop sucré, juste comme il faut ! Bon souvenir en tout cas ! Une réunionnaise qui reviendra à Maurice juste pour ce sandwich !

Staff needs training and learn manners! Waited for almost 30 minutes for a sandwich. No one asked any question. Finally when I asked the kid working there he checked with the supervisor and I heard some giggling going on. I was told that my order was given to another client. There was no apologies no nothing! It seems that it is their business as usual!
