Hey pals, think you went to the wrong restaurant. My most recent visit on 16th december 2010, was very enjoyable. There was about 5 waiters who were very friendly. Drinks were served almost immediately and the food was delicious. The crab was finger licking good as well as the sweet and sour porc. The rice was steamed to perfection. Couldn't stop eating that night. Oohhh and the cockroaches ... Seems they didn't received the invitation card that night. Lol

The best Chinese food i never eat!!The seafood was very fresh!! Try the steamed fish with ginger wow super:)The szechuen prawn was excellent.The service was OK.The price value for money.P

The Best Peking Duck In Mauritius. Friendly Waiters. Quite Reasonable Prices. Good Chinese Food.

Je suis une habituée du restaurant mais fûs très déçue du menu pour la St Valentin. La nourriture était inmangeable. Ma seule question est: est-ce que le menu a été bâclé ou est-ce que le niveau du restaurant a RADICALEMENT baissé? Il faisait chaud, la climatiseur était éteinte, il n'y avait même pas une musique, ni une fleur sur la table contrairement à d'autre restaurant ce jour là. Si je ne connaissais pas le restaurant et si j'étais à ma première visite chez vous le jour de la St. Valentin je ne reposerai jamais les pieds chez vous. J'ai juste envie de savoir si on peut revenir chez vous pour manger un bon canard laqué. En tous cas je ne suis pas la seule qui ne fût pas contente ce jour là. Je vous remercie Au plaisir de retrouver le même bon restaurant d'il y a un mois.

Their crunchy calamari is A MUST to have if you don't have any related allergies from "seafood" !! :-D their portion is too less though for the price (which is still very affordable) :) enjoy it.

I've always had praises for Chinese Wok, but not tonight. Ordered Peking Duck and was left very disappointed. At a whopping cost of MU1150, the duck was dry and was tasted nowhere close to Peking Duck. The duck even tasted like it was not roasted on the same day. My friends have all raved about CW's Peking Duck as being the best of Mauritius...I would err with caution..maybe it was bad luck for me, but that duck was for lack of a better word- abysmal. If I had not ordered the duck for take-away, it would have still been sitting at the restaurant. And do check your take-away box to make sure that there are enough condiments...

Pour commencer,je ne suis pas un râleur et je n'hésite pas à donner d'excellents avis aux restos et hôtels que j'apprécie, et à largement dépenser quand cela vaut le coup. Mais cette fois je vais vraiment être sans complaisance. Ce restaurant m'a effectivement été recommandé pour son peking duck. Nous y sommes allés à deux un midi avec en tête le standard généralement admis qu'un canard c'est pour 4, au moins, et surtout après avoir vérifié au téléphone la veille qu'on pouvait bien avoir un demi-canard pour 2, pour Rs 500 au lieu de Rs 1000 (hors taxes). A l'arrivée, l'atmosphère est très sombre, trop, et la lumière extérieure fait mal aux yeux. Le serveur commence par nous refuser le demi-canard convenu puis cède devant mon insistance. Ce qu'on nous apporte est prédécoupé en cuisine, quelques morceaux correspondant plutôt à un quart de canard. Pas vraiment bon. Nous sommes restés sur notre faim, très déçus et nous avons arrêté là. Avec quand même une note de Rs 750 pour pas grand chose. Un monde de différence avec d'autres expériences de peking duck, un service pas du tout aimable, bref JE NE RECOMMANDE PAS DU TOUT CE RESTAURANT. K.

L'Arnaque!!! Fuyez ce restaurant. Mon ami et moi avons réservé un 1/2 canard laqué la veille par téléphone. Au restaurant, au moment de passer la commande, le serveur nous a informé que nous ne pouvons pas commander un 1/2 canard mais qu'il fallait en prendre un en entier alors que nous étions 2. A notre demande, il s'est renseigné auprès du patron et finalement c'était possible. L'attente était interminable mais on s'est dit que ça en vallait surement la peine. Grosse déception lorsque le canard tant attendu a été servi. Très petite quantité, morceau sans viande mais seulement la peau, viande sèche (réchauffée). Il nous avait servi 1/3 du canard pour le prix d'un 1/2 canard. RS500 hors VAT Nous lui avons fait part de notre déception mais le serveur ne s'est pas senti concerné. Au final nous en avons eu pour plus Rs750 pour 1/2 canard et 2 boissons (eau et coca) et nous n'étions même pas rassasiés. Je vous déconseille fortement ce restaurant. Aucun intérêt pour ce restaurant, il y a tant d'autres. Cadre : très sombre. Service : lent et aucun sens du savoir-recevoir. Tarif : hors de prix

C'ES LE SEUL RESTO QUE JE PART POUR LE MOMENT. C'EST LE PLUIS CHICK ET LE PLUS AGREABLE A MANGER EN FAMILLES ET EN COUPLE.

I ate there yesterday evening...the waiters are unexperienced...problems with our orders...we took steaks and bol renversé...steaks average...the salads too much vinegar, the chips quite good, they bring me a martini without ice!! the atmosphere is good, calm with a good background music, very good for birthday dinners, price a bit high compared to other chinese restaurants but they served till late, overall okay.

We went there with my father and his friends a few days before NYE. The place was packed (seemed like they made deals with many organizations). Let's start with the good things - They allowed you to bring your own drinks, which is nice since as you know, drinks cost a lot in restaurants. Waiters were doing a good job in cleaning the tables (and they were working under a lot of pressure). Dj was playing music and people were dancing when they finished dinner. And for the most important part - food. Very average! Mostly the common stuff such as very oily entrees, gratin (not really a gratin but more like a mashed potato or "chouchou" with a tiny crumbs layer on top), and dried meat (the way they cooked the meat, they just dried most juices left in it). As for the deserts, after seeing how the entrees and the main courses were, we didn't really want to take any chance. You won't see me there in any possible future.

Je suis un habitué de ce restaurant très sympas les gens qui critique au lieu d'apprécier il vont continuer a critiqué peu importe ou ils iront. He recommande fortement ce restaurant.

This restaurant has been renovated since 5 years i think. it has uncompetant waiters!! the price is toooo cheap and it accomodates only a few person!!!! Very dull. the food has tastes good.

Great resto. Great food. Great price. I go there very often to eat. It is one of the favs resto in that region. Good atmosphere.

I went there on 24 Dec and fortunately we've reserved a table. Cons: Had to wait to have our starters. Waiters need more training and are not so dynamic. After all, they are old! Pros The food quality is excellent. My Fiancee and I enjoy the time we spent there. The starter were superbe. It's value for money! Would definitely be revisiting soon.

Nice restaurant and food is quite good. I have been a customer since years now. However, the service can be really slow at times and last time they messed up the order completely. But food is great, only that they have to provide better customer service!

Went there on St Valentine's Day. They had reserved our table. We ordered SAW MAI, they brought SOUPE MAI. When we told the waiter, he started arguing that we were in the wrong. Food was absolutely horrible. They used frozen mixed vegetables in our fried rice instead of fresh vegetables. They could have used fresh carrots and cabbage instead which is cheap and would would have been much better. I ordered a boiled noodle with chicken and eggs. The noodle was over boiled and soggy. The chicken was so sweet in a rich tomato sauce and I could not eat it with the noodles as the sauce does not go with mauritian boiled noodles. The crab soup we ordered was bland and poorly seasoned. The saw mai they brought later was again very bland and poorly seasoned. They do not serve or allow alcohol consumption. For those who enjoy an aperitif or a glass of wine, bad luck. When i asked for the bill, i was told I needed to go and pay over the counter. I had to leave my table to go and pay. I waited for 15 mins before someone attended to me. Poor staffing, poor management and coordination was evident resulting in pathetic service.

It is a perfect place to go with family for eating.The foods there are very delicious
