I will come straight to the point. The staff at this restaurant will benefit a lot should the management invest in a proper customer care service. This is the first time ever I have experience such poor attitude at an eating place.

My family and I visited Zub-Express while on vacation. we came from Kenya. The food was very delicious and can satisfy one's hunger. When we visit Mauritius again we will sure visit the restaurant again and recommend it to others. we thank you for you service

Food served is quite good but sometimes cold. MCB cardholders are entitled to a 5% discount when dining at Ocean Basket, Bagatelle from Monday to Friday. My family and I dined at the restaurant on Friday 8th March 2013 and I was not granted the discount when effecting payment with my MCB Mastercard.

serves the best indian food on the island...esp chicken starters

large portions of good food in a nice setup with a good service (better than most chinese restaurants) and at relatively low prices. will definitely go there again.

Had 19 family and friends for my birthday dinner and found the management and service very accomodating. The food was OK and very reasonably priced. They did not pretend to be 5 star and for the cost I would be happy to go there again.

The BEST Chinese foods we ever eat in Mauritius. The BEST place for grills specially for those who like ribs. Overrall Excellent - Good atmosphere & Calm.

Nous Habitons Maurice depuis déjà 4 ans, mais ce restaurant est in incontournable, nous l'avons juste testé la première fois pour voir car il faut bien dire que pas mal de restaurant sont décevant!!!! Nous leurs sommes restés fidèle car, que ce soit de la nourriture française ou Mauricienne, il y à toujours une touche originale à ce que vous mangerez. Digne d’un grand restaurant tout en étant dans une limite raisonnable. Nous sommes pourtant assez difficiles en matière de restauration et pourtant que ce soit le chef de rang, aux serveurs a la cuisine et au cadre tout y est en symbiose. Je ne vous ai pas parlé des soirées du vendredi et Samedi qui sont particulières, le vendredi c buffet a volonté a 600 Rs HT (quand je pense que certains ce permettent de râler par ce que le prix est affiché HT, mais c du délire) allez trouver un restaurant a ce prix la avec cette qualité de nourriture et tout ce qui va avec !!!! Voila je vous souhaite tout simplement d’en faire comme nous, votre restaurant préféré !!! Bon voyage a ceux qui y viennent, vous y retournerez c sur !!!! Mme SIMON (une habituée des lieux)

I recently visited Le Capitaine and was extremley dissapointed. This was my 3rd visit, and in the past we have experienced excellent food and service. The food was not as good has it had been in the past, smaller portions, the service was extrmely rushed and we ate 3 courses in an hour. There was no time to let your starter digest before the main meal was served. The waiter was clearing the table while we were eating. The fish tasted as though it had been frozen and the pranws were very chewy, the lobster had been overcooked. I have in the past recommended this restaurant to many friends but would definatley not visit again.

The food at this restaurant is absolutely fabulous & not to be missed. The atmosphere is very relaxed, there is no menu but the owners tell you what they have available on the day. Pasta is all home made. Unless you are arriving to eat early you really must book your table in advance. Do not be put off by the fact that it is on the roadside.

the pizza's here are exceptional, all freshly prepared & baked in a clay oven. Other food on the menu is also good quality & well cooked. The restaurant is frequented by many locals & they are definitely given preferential service to that given to visitors, even if you eat there regularly during your stay in Mauritius. The owner comes out each evening but only acknowledges regular customers, this is a great shame as everyone likes to feel special when on holiday.

This restaurant is not to be missed & can be visited even if you don't wish to go into the sugar factory museum. The food is of superb quality, as is the service. The setting is wonderful and very peaceful. Don't miss the lamb tagine!

We have organized the 60th birthday party of my parent for around 70 seats. Atmosphere was greatly romantic with dim light effect, the restaurant was warm, cozy and so awesomely decorated. Food was refined,excellent and abundantly provided. Relatives were highly satisfied. What I appreciated mostly is the service provided by the waiters headed by Mr Patrick and Kamal. My sincere thanks to them cause without them the birthday party would not have been that highly serviced. The waiters were attentive to each relatives' needs and obeyed to timely orders given by the host. They even improvised for additional cutlery. Polite, respectful and so caring towards my guests. Hats off to this institution. I also never have witnessed such professionalism in ambiance and orchestra. The musicians and singers knew perfectly how to stimulate guests into dancing till past midnight. Nice experience which I shall recommend to anyone. By the way, the charges is worth it.

We have been treated like very badly today at Mc Donald's Phoenix. 25 minutes before the restaurant closed, all the machines were off. The lady could not understand proper French or English. Please change your night staff ! Service lamentable, le personnel ne parle ni anglais ni français. Ces derniers ont refusé de nous laisser choisir nos plats ! Il est bizarre d'arriver dans un Mc Donald's où il n'y a presque plus rien à manger 25 minutes avant la fermeture. Heureusement que vous servez finalement du boeuf ! (Enfin quand il en reste).

i bought pastry 2 times at night there.but unfortunately to say i got burn pastry .i think they cook it again and again after no sales.i ask the person not to give me the burn one and he said to me who gonna take it then .I ask people not to go there to buy pastry at night specially.

Good food but oily chips. Incompetent staff(not all but most of them). I once had to wait at the take away service because a staff did not not know the cost of a mac chicken meal and she asked me several times about it. She did not even know that all meals and their detailed costs are displayed near the counters. Despite me telling her, she did not make the effort to even check the prices, she was just standing there waiting for i don't know what till sme1 else helped me. Very dirty and smelly toilets. Its very hot and there are no windows upstairs. With so many people sitting close to each other and no air circulation, it feels kind of dirty to eat there. The atmosphere is suffocating. Hope that measures will be taken to make the place hygienic specially the room upstairs.

Great restaurant! The food is great, best fried rice I had. Price is good for food quality. Waitress are friendly though they lack customer service skills. Recommended restaurant.

Had a late lunch there some weeks ago. We had a platter for 2 & it was just delicious. I like their idea of "mix platter"; you get serve a variety (fish, prawns, calamari, etc) within one meal. Not forgetting that everything was just perfectly cooked. Our waiter was a very pleasant guy, always ensuring we got everything we needed. We really enjoyed our meal. No need to say we'll be back for more quality meal soon!

Food was average but staff not to standard. Especially the one on the main road at Nouvelle France. Perhaps investing in a course like customer service for your staff would go a long way.

We have been to OB on many occasions and it is consistently good food. Generallly we order the same dishes Sushi which is always very fresh like salmon sushi platter and tastes good . The Prawn and squid grills are excellent Service is generally very. .efficient and curtious also. Only criticism toilets very small and they have no activities for families with young children. Fortunately food arrives in good time to feed them!
