So over this place after being dissapointed on so many occasions - poor poor service (who add things- mainly alcoholic - onto the bill..so check yr bills!), the food is way over priced and the quality disgusting, never mind it took 1 1/2 hrs to get a chicken and chips for the kids on one occasion and 2 hrs for our mains on another - and we started complaining after an hour only to be told 'its coming'....When the owner was finally informed he couldn't be bothered to come and speak to us, instead dissapeared into the kitchen..so we left, never to return again...it seems many local people feel the same way, we'll leave it to the tourists.

I visited the restaurant with my friends today and had to wait 40 minutes to receive our order. We had to actually tell the waiter that we are leaving the resto for us to get our food and on top of it, we did not receive any apologies for the lateness. The food was nice but the service was not what we were expecting.

Good pizza but paying 400 for a pizza and still hungry is not really worth it.

Good food, good atmosphere, good service, .... just what you look for if you want to eat mauritian cuisine, with emphasis on sea food. They also have a great variety of other dishes as well. The rum punch is awesome. Keep it up!

ok guys, so here it is. Pizza was 75 mins late arriving - delivery order. I called twice to ask wtf was up. Second time I got the manager. He told me that it was on the way. When I asked if I need to pay he said that the RULES are that I must pay if the pizza is hot!!! So i asked him if it is hot and 4 or 5 or 6 hours late, do I still need to pay --- and he said "yes"!!!! What a pathetic performance . I hope the guy who owns this franchise reads this, cos you are running a sick organization dude!

Très bon accueil dans ce restaurant familial. Habitant non loin du restaurant, nous en avons fait notre cantine. Prix très raisonnables. Personnel très serviable. A recommander: les crevettes à l'ail, le curry de poulet, le poulet sauce rouge, ect...... Un grand merci à eux...Si je repasse à l'ile maurice, je ferai un détour juste pour les saluer.....

Had dinner last friday with friends. We had 2 steaks with cheese and mushroom sauce, the wild boar with beer and the fish with lapsang suchong (or something) tea. We were blown away by the decoration of the dishes. Super well presented. Service was slow. But I must say the place looked busy. The quality of the food was great. never saw such dishes. i mean, fish with tea and wild boar with fruit beer! the beer selection is also the best i've seen, even outside of mauritius. what annoyed us is that lots of beers we ordered were not available. but they had plenty more! the old house is so beautiful. overall great place

One of the best restaurant in the east of mauritius.

I always recommend this restaurant to people visiting Mtius. It is clean, great customer service, there are a mixture of cultures therefore a great vibe to the place. Most of all the toilet is clean and the food is excellent. A bit pricey, but well worth every penny you spend. Would definitely go again and again

The restaurant is easy to find and is a popular location in Mtius. The menu boasts Mauritian Chinese cuisine at its finest. The atmosphere is nice although. It could do with an update in furnishing, but overall is clean and the customer service is pleasant. This is another restaurant that I would recommend to people. One word of advice to customers who order the steak with chips, please confirm whether you like your steak rare, medium or well done. Enjoy

Do not contain all menus, poor assets and there is a dog always sleeping in the restaurant.

Le Chamarel Restaurant est de loin le meilleur restaurant sur la côte ouest . Les prix ne sont pas excessifs par rapport au plats proposés et on a en prime une vue imprenable sur la côte sud ouest .Le service est impeccable . Je vous recommande le travers de porc..... une fête pour le palais .

Having lived in Mauritius for over a year it is always good to find great places to eat that you can go again and again. The Botteghita is one of those such places with brilliant home made food from Jackamo the Italian Chef and brilliant service from his other half Patricia who is always full of life and happy. As they say the proof is in the pudding and evry night of the week the restaurant is full so booking is a must. All in all the restaurant has a great atmosphere, excellent food and excellent service. I will be the one at the back drinking lemoncello if you make it down!

While using the drive thru I have notice several times there are tomato and tissue missing in the paper bag when I am at home. Today 19.11.11 at 17.55 p.m I have bought 2 burgers and 1 fish o fillet, at Home I noticed that they have given me only 1 burger and 1 Fish o Filet. THIS IS NOT ACCEPTABLE NEXT TIME ALL THE CLIENT USING THE DRIVE THRU SHOULD CHECK THEIR BAG BEFORE LEAVING THE RESTAURANT

Went with my cousins at this Cafe thinking that we'll enjoy but the food and the service had made us down.. The Cafe is on the road so its noisy all around.. the quality of Burger is also not except-able.. we had spoil our evening in that Cafe..

Bonjour, Depuis 3 semaines, chaque jeudi, je pars avec mon fils de 2 ans a votre restaurant, pour le dejeuner, le menu etait tres bon, sauf seul petit bemol, mon fils se retrouve avec 3 meme jouets, des petites voiture bleues il en a 3 de la meme couleur, ca ne m'attire pas pour prendre un autre happy meal cette semaine-ci. On devrait changer les jouets chaque semaine et non-pas la meme chose pendant 3 semaines. Merci de prendre en consideration ma demande
