Great Pastry with fair prices, unbeatable cake designs. It is a bit far away from the west coast but well worth the ride. The German style black forest we had was divine!

R and B (Blek) is among the few pattiseries who listen to what clients want. Very few in the region remain open in the evening and the best thing remains the quality of food. Now selling fast food as well with a cool atmosphere, R and B is a delight.

Canton is one of the best reataurants in Port-Louis. If you love Chinese food you can't miss to visit Canton. Its Riz Frite de la maison remains an unforgettable dish for me. The portions are generous. If you feel like a broth, you should definitely try the Sui Mai (sorry for the spelling) and the fish balls. Amazing dishes for affordable prices.

Quite good food on the overall. I tried their foccachia and four cheese pizza. My boyfriend took their Meridiana sauch with spaghettis. Nice place if you are looking for Italian food but not if you are expecting authentic Italian food because the dried herbs use and overall flavours are not quite up to the authentic Italian food taste.

The absolute best plate of food I was served after living in Mauritius for one and a half years ! The restaurant is truly unrivalled in every aspect, especially value for money and a great atmosphere. You'll miss out big time if you dont visit !

Have been there several times, and always had a bitter experience. The waiters seem to ignore you, and its been more than one time that i had to wait for 30 minutes or so for a waiter to come and serve. Rather embarassing experience especially when you have invited someone. There are many tourists who visit this place, and get the royal treatment and some Mauritians are simply ignored if not forgotten completely. It was only after my fourth visit that i knew that there was other meals offered apart from Pizzas. The only menu card offered to me was the alcohol menu and the pizza menu. Going through the reviews, i cannot agree more with the bad experience the others had. No doubt it is a beautiful place, nice atmosphere and great design. But still there is nothing to give you a welcome, forget the warm welcome. I will go there one more time only to see if there has been a change recently, if not, i will simply stop going and highly discourage my friends and anyone from going there.

I am a great fan of sushi and since i work in PL it is the only place i know of and that serve sushi. The only negative point is that someone needs to wake up the staff. They are SLOW. This is P.L and people have lunches of only 40 minutes and we cannot wait 20 mins to be served. The sushi is already on display and people choose from that. How can u take more than 10 minutes? Other that, it is a bit pricey compared to other places i know of that serves sushi in the north. But i guess we have to pay for what we like :-).

ReplyKentucky Fried Chicken (KFC) - Cascavelle Shopping Mall

For me, KFC is still good even the rumors that was once circulated over the island. I'd never been sick with their food... but yes i may admit that sometimes the food is not as excellent as it should be - particularly if there's a lot of people who had come to eat. But if you are searching for a quick and cheap chicken burger, KFC is according to me the best. But well, every people has its own point of view.

My family and I spend most of out meals on a 2 weeks vacation at Cafe International enjoying the excellent food, superb burgers and warm hospitality of Annemarie, Deon and Alex. At Café International you will find a genuine interest in preparing an excellent meal at a very fair price, a combination which is not often found. We fell completely for Deon and Annemarie’s relaxed and down to earth attitude and had the feeling of being welcomed as a guest of the house.

We dined at this restaurant twice during our holiday. Both times we were part of a group. The first time all the dishes were served promptly except for one which was served after everyone had finished their dish. I can accept that this could happen but the owner was totally unapologetic about the error which is not acceptable. I should never have returned but unfortunately I did (mostly due to peer pressure). The second time, I dined there with some friends. Unfortunately, the friends with which we had arranged to meet were a late so we took a table and ordered cocktails. It was not pleasurable experience. The waiter asked us repeatedly if our friends had stood us up. It seems odd for this to be even be asked as we did order some drinks and we did tell him that they had been held up in traffic. Nonetheless, in the 35 min we waited for our friends, we were asked 4 times if they were still coming. Outrageous! The problem with this place is that it was at the time the only pizza place in Flic en Flac. Maybe it used to be good at some point but I travel regularly to Mauritius and I will never return to Chez Pepe. Furthermore, I hear another pizza place has opened on the beach front of Flic en Flac. I hope the service is better then Chez Pepe!

well,well,well..greatness inspires envy.envy engenders spite.spite spawns lies.:) I say this because according to me this restaurant is just awesome.perfect location after a trip to the south of the island and I still don't see why some are complaining about its services.I mean come on!opinions are everywhere but it's always easier to hate than to love :) I've been there and I know what I am talking about. cheers.

I just had to add Dominique that obviously whenever you decide to venture to the beach house the owner is there. He has not been there on a good few occassions where he obviously has trust in his staff to make things happen in his absense. However, the manageress has on plenty of occassions been drinking on duty. Infact, one once even sat at our table in late December last year and drank wine out of a coffee cup to hide it laughing and thinking it was a big joke.
