    Alouda is a delicious cold beverage made with milk, basil seeds and agar-agar jelly which is especially refreshing on a hot summer day.

    Ingredients

    • 1/2 Litre of water
    • 10g | 1 Cup Agar Agar Flakes | Seaweed flakes
    • 1/2 Litre of milk (Full fat milk)
    • 1 tin of evaporated milk
    • 1/2 tin condensed milk (Depending on how sweet you like it) 0r to can even replace it by adding sugar
    • 1 Tsp Almond flavouring or extract (Add the flavour of your choice)
    • 1 tsp Green food colouring

    Preparation

    1. Agar Agar jelly process:
    2. Soak the basil seeds in water for at least 30 minutes
    3. Dissolve 1 cup of agar-agar flakes in some water and bring to boil for about 25-30 minutes
    4. Allow to boil until the water is clear completely. And Allow to set for a few hours
    5. Once the agar agar is set, grate it
    6. Milk Process:
    7. Boil 1/2 lire of milk for 10-15 minutes and stir occasionally to prevent the milk from burning
    8. Add 1 tin of evaporated milk
    9. Add 1/2 tin of condensed milk (deoending on how sweet you like it)
    10. Allow to boil on medium heat and stir occasionally
    11. Add 1 tsp of almond flavour (or you can add any flavour of you choice)
    12. Add some green food colouring (or you can add the colour of your choice)
    13. Continue to stir for 10 minutes. Allow to cool and chill for a few hours
    14. Add some grated agar agar soaked basil seeds into a glass
    15. Add the cold milk
    16. Mix and serve cold
