Très déçu. Ce restaurant il y a encore deux ans était une perle Le menu est très quelconque ,le service déplorable (plats servis alors que nous n.avions pas fini nos apéritifs) La note est loin d’être en rapport avec les plats servis le café était très désagréable (du Robusta trop fort. A la limite imbuvable Le seul point positif est la vue imprenable Je ferais part de mes remarques au guide du routard et à mes amis Mauriciens qui étaient venus avec moi et eux aussi ont été très déçus

One of the yearly highlight when coming to Mauritius is lunch at The Chamarel restaurant! This year we were very disappointed, because the renovation has transformed the unique atmosphere, style and menu into a common restaurant. Fortunately the charming and professional staff and the breathtaking view are still the same. We are sorry to have lost a precious gem. Hopefully, the minds behind that change won't do any further adjustments to a style that is everywhere seen and maybe bring back the chocolate cake!

Tucked onto the verge of Chamarel cliff, this restaurant offers a unique and sensational view of the paradise island's south west. My fiancee and I went there for a birthday lunch on the 21 Sept and our expectations were nicely exceeded. The service was very good and the staff showed tremendous hospitality towards their Customers. The food bore the touch of a genuine chef and was simply excellent. We were impressed and really liked the place. Keep the good work up and we shall definitely come back.

Nous avons déjeuné ce dimanche 18 septembre 2016 avec la découverte de la nouvelle carte, hélas totalement changée très déçus!! dommage d'un changement radical de la carte avec tout de ce que comportait la précédente.... qui était excellente La quantité également a diminué dans les assiettes...On cherche les légumes À éviter la dorade panée (3 petits morceaux) les gyoza (une noisette de ratatouille) un raté! Pour la déco, mobilier rien à dire sauf les nouvelles chaises pas confortables du tout,' au bout d'une heure dur!dur! Pour le personnel et l'accueil à la Mauricienne c'est tout ce qui reste de positif dans cet établissement.

Food is good, atmosphere is cosy, but service only average

Le Chamarel Restaurant est de loin le meilleur restaurant sur la côte ouest . Les prix ne sont pas excessifs par rapport au plats proposés et on a en prime une vue imprenable sur la côte sud ouest .Le service est impeccable . Je vous recommande le travers de porc..... une fête pour le palais .

Als je goed, leuk en mooi wilt lunchen: ga naar Le Chamarel. Wat zit je daar mooi. Perfecte service, normale prijzen en prima kwaliteit!

One of the best restaurants i've been to in Mauritius. The best view i have ever had at a restaurant. Very good food. Would so go again, and will!

Was coming down, was so hungry.... It was my first visit there... I was amazed by the view... Had a really nice lunch... and most important, SMOKING was not prohibited... Yahooooooooooooooooo...... Cheers A must go Restaurant for lovers...

We stumbled across Le Chamarel while touring the southern half of Mauritius and are so glad we did. It is highly recommended. Good food, good service and the view of the sea, lagoon and the mountain around is breathtaking. Our meal at Le Chamarel was the best we had in Africa. Exceptional soup, appetizer and entrees. The staff was exceptionally friendly and the setting was fantastic. It was well worth our visit The prices are a little expensive but definitely worth for the dining experience.
