We went there for Valentine's Day. We made prior reservations and got there at 7.30pm, but we were left to find out table ourselves. The atmosphere was not reflecting valentine's day except for a fainting rose on each table, no candles music or mood lighting. Only 3 waiters available for a restaurant that is getting packed by the minute. Service was poor, waiting time...

was long. Some customers were seated in darkness, not even a candle to light up their evening. I ordered the special menu for V day, but portion size was small, presentation could be better, for the price. The food and plating is overrated, not a culinary experience as some would claim. When we finally finshed at 10 pm and it was more a tiring experience.

I took my girl there, but I fallen in love with that beef filet instead :) Seriously the food was one of the best experiences I had, it was little bit more expensive, but the staff was very professional, there is only one thing... too many people were walking through the restaurant and it was little bit annoying, I'm sure they can fix that easily by closing the passthrough with few intelligently positioned tables

The restaurant boasts itself as a place to discover the culinary flavours of the sea. Unfortunately, it was much below expectation! The menu was quite expensive and choice limited. Some of the dishes were actually curry sauce based; while some people will actually welcome a curry based seafood dish, I would personally not be visiting such a restaurant for curries. fish I ordered had an overpowering sauce and the accompanying rice served was not properly cooked. The dish tasted similar to the mauritian style briani. It defeated the whole idea of braising a fish to preserve its flavours! The prawn tagliatelle dish was better tasting, though the amount of pasta served was a tad less. The dessert menu was disappointing too:the creme brulee was below a beginner's level, it had an eggy after taste and the caramel wasn't cracky, it was far from being a perfect creme brulee which should be expected from such a restaurant. The setting is nevertheless romantic especially at night time because of the Caudan seafront and the service is good; these are the only two positive things that the restaurant has to offer.

A restaurant that appears to have fallen on hard times with declining standards at just about every turn. The prices of the food and especially the drink are ludicrous considering the below par quality and the surrounding competition.

ither. Wine was at least 300% more expensive than surrounding restaurants for the same bottle and service was ambivalent at best. To be avoided.

Cela a été l'experience culinaire la plus appréciable que j'ai eu, ici à l'Ile Maurice. De la haute gastronomie et un service irréprochable.

J'y ai passé le reveillon du nouvel an et tout etait parfait!

This restaurant is really bad,in terms of its food ,service,atmosphere and even the staff.Even if the food is expensive,it is really bad .It is true,the manager of the restaurant boasts a lot,and he tends to propose you to buy the most expensive dish.

There's some really understated gems on this island, and this is one of them. We end up sitting down as the day was hot, amongst the collection of uninspiring cafes on the front, this appearred to do seafood, and our baby had that second started to cry for a feed.

An eyebrow or two raised at the price, but what the hell, we ordered.

A pair of wonderfully presented dishes, with the garnishes and accompaniments suiting the dish perfectly, and being delicious in their own right.

My other half had the chicken asparagus in a white sauce and thoroughly enjoyed it.

I found this local fish vindaye in a banana leaf hidden away on the back page of the menu ... this should be shouted from the rooftops as an outstanding signature dish. The restaurant is worthy of a visit just for that dish alone. It was absolutely gorgeous.
