Chinatown Celebrates 19th Food & Cultural Festival
The 19th annual Chinatown Food & Cultural Festival took place in Port Louis on September 26-27, 2026. Organised by the Chinese Chamber of Commerce , the festival celebrated Chinese and Sino-Mauritian culinary heritage and culture.
It drew diverse communities to experience traditional food, entertainment, and cultural activities in Chinatown . This annual event, first launched in 2005, featured the theme "Where Cultures Meet, Flavors Unite" for its 2026 edition.
Attendees could enjoy Chinese and Sino-Mauritian specialities such as fried noodles , boulettes , dumplings , crispy snacks, and sweet treats. The festival also showcased performances from 18 cultural groups, with free admission for all visitors.
