How are restaurant rankings calculated?

Your position in search, browse and Best Of lists is earned, never bought. It is built from what diners think of you (reviews and ratings) and how complete your listing is — a published menu, good photos, accurate hours, a full description and online booking all give visitors more of what they came for, so those listings rank higher.

Can paid plans improve my ranking?

No. Paid plans give you the tools to build a complete profile, but they do not add points to your score. A free listing with a complete profile will outrank a paid listing with an empty one — every time.

How can I improve my restaurant's visibility?

Complete your listing: publish a menu, add good photos, keep your hours accurate, write a full description and switch on reservations. A complete listing is more useful to visitors, so it shows up earlier when people browse. Completeness is something you build on any plan, and it is measured the same way for everyone.

Can I pay to appear higher in search results?

No. Our Best Of rankings, collections and What Should I Eat results are based on reviews and data only, and cannot be bought.

Are there paid promotional placements?

Yes, and they are clearly separate from search and rankings. Homepage Featured Restaurants and Quick Explore are promotional placements offered to Premium and Diamond members — these are the only paid placements on the site. Diamond fills them first, then Premium.

Do limits apply to my whole account?

Limits apply per restaurant, not per account. For example, three venues on Listed each get one menu.

How are plans set up and billed?

Plans are set up with our team by invoice, monthly or yearly. Prices exclude VAT.

What happens if my plan ends?

Nothing is deleted. Content above the free allowance is simply hidden until you renew, and existing reservations are still honoured.

I run a group, hotel or franchise — what are my options?

Multi-outlet groups, hotels and franchises have their own needs — ask us about our Partner plan and we will put something together with you.
