Adding a restaurant that is missing

We cover most of the island, but new places open every week and small family kitchens are easy to miss. If you know somewhere good that is not here, please tell us.

Before you send it

Search first — including a shortened version of the name and the town. Plenty of "missing" restaurants are already on the site under a slightly different spelling, or as a second branch. Our form makes you search before it lets you submit, which sounds fussy but saves everyone a duplicate.

What to send

Use Add a restaurant and give us:

• the name, as it appears on the sign
• the town or area, and the street if you know it
• a phone number, WhatsApp or social page — this is the single most useful field, because it is how we verify
• roughly what they cook, and anything that makes them worth a visit

A photo helps but is not required.

What we do with it

Every submission goes to our team. We run an automatic duplicate check against everything we already hold, then confirm the place really exists and is open — usually a call, a look at their social page, or a Google cross-check. Once it clears, we create the page with the basics, and it starts appearing in search, on the map and in the filters.

Simple cases take a few days. Anything we cannot reach takes longer, and occasionally we cannot verify a place at all — in that case it stays on our list rather than going live on guesswork.

If it is your own restaurant

Send it the same way, and mention that it is yours. As soon as the page exists you can claim it, which lets you edit everything on it yourself — hours, photos, description, menus, contact details. Both steps are free.

Chef Zil may ask you

If you ask our assistant about a restaurant we do not have, it will say so plainly and invite you to add it. That nudge is deliberate: unanswered searches are the best possible list of what to add next.
