The first time I took my wife out for dinner was at Domaine Anna and we fell in love with the place and decided back at that time in 2004 to have our marriage celebrated there...Well some years later, in 2007 we had our reception instead there near the waterfall, it was really awesome, a wonderful experience, the food was delicious, the location simply like out of this world, the service excellent...A day to remember and cherish indeed and people who work there made it possible!! Though when we usually eat inside the restaurant, the only problem is noise, too much noise around with barely a music, it's rather a murmur and there are either too few waiters or too many people around as it is always difficult to get one waiter available to attend to our needs in between the meals if ever we need something but apart from that when we are assigned a waiter we do have someone to receive our orders and serve us the food...Anyways the place for us bears another more important meaning!!!

The marvellous setting of this restaurant was already a great start. The menu offered a wide selection of local products with each dish being beautifully presented. The emphasis was on quality and beauty. If you’re ever in Aventure du Sucre (and have the budget to match!), visit Le Fangourin. It was easily one of the best meals of my life thus far. Add to this the discreet but attentive service and you won't be dissappointed.

It's very surprising that there are not more beach front pub/restaurants in the tourist hot spot of Northern Mauritius. For the time being there is at least one that I know of; The Beach House. This place is a gold mine due to the magnificent location directly on the waters of Grand Baie. You can go for a quick dip in the bay and come right back up to the restaurant. That said, this restaurant is full of potential but as a gold mine it churns out nothing but disappointment. The food is alright but the prices are high and the service is atrocious. At the time of this review, The Beach House has been open for well over a year, yet customer service has never been up to par and they've have had a lot of time to work on it. In my opinion, they cash in on tourists without any regard to recurring customers. *Service: Some of the South African staff at this restaurant are extremely rude and lack any sense of manners. The local staff can be a mixed batch of good, mediocre or just plain bad. There is however one exception, a very nice young man by the name of Linley; if you want to ensure a good experience insist that he be your waiter. Linley is one of, if not, the best waiters I have had at any dining establishment in Mauritius. I don't want to alienate customers from experiencing The Beach House. However, it should be made clear that customer service and satisfaction are not priorities at this establishment. Until management recognizes this and decides to rectify the situation, this place will continue to provide sub-par service and disappointment to its customers.

Enjoyed a nice dinner there once with my wife some years back, the food was like WOW...the buffet was really worth the price paid for, the food quite affordable but we fell like being in a small hall, we fell uncomfortable as the place seem too small with so many tables and the room was too brightly lit and decorated plainly unlike the main restaurant which was more open and well decorated.

The food was simply delicious, we had pasta instead of pizza and a never ending tiramisu for dessert but was left with a salty bill...Next time maybe we'll try their pizza

This is a well known restaurants for Curepipe and Eau-coulée habitants but it attracts many groups of people. Work colleagues, family, friends,etc. Its not a very fine decorated restaurant but a simple one. Its owner, Mr. Ed, is a very friendly guy and make everyone feel at ease. Price is very fair, good portion and tasty foods. For examples, A ' Poulet Black Bean' Portion cost Rs150... and 2-3 persons can eat...to be accompanied garlic bread or rice. There's karaoké programs when needed. Overall a value for money restaurant in its simplicity.

Nice restaurant with a good interior decoration. Ideal for family. Food nice as well.

A must stop by place if you are a pizza lover for you have the pizza cooked in an ancient like oven...The crust and topping are so savoury and you don't seem to get enough of it!! Their eating place is not real classy but quite cozy and the staff are cool people. You have on the tables lots of different kinds of olive and other oils and hot flavoured sauces to accompany your pizza slices...

Worst pizza eatout around the island...Too many commercial ads and promos but the food real tasteless...When you placed your order and when you drive to the place, they can't even recalled of the order or you get someone else's order. They even refused us a delivery at 7.45pm on a Sunday with both of us sick placing a delivery order when we live hardly a 15 mins drive from the place but they have been real rude!!! Their pizza crust is either over cooked or under cooked, the topping scarce [you can count the ingredients in the topping as once observed by wiffy], the thin crust pizza layer is inedible unless you want to break some teeth with the cracker like crust, the food quality is goind down, down, real down... Think twice before stopping by the place

Went there dying of hunger after a long drive. Dishes are average, but terribly overpriced for the tiny portions. Service was almost inexistent.

The worst restaurant I have ever been to. It was almost impossible to get an empty parkinglot so we thought it might be a well visited restaurant. We came in and no waiter guided us the way to an empty table so we sat down ourselves though there were only 5 other tables served of the approximately 30 tables. After we realized the dirty blotted tablecloth we started waiting about 20 minutes until we finally got the menue. It took another 10 minutes to get the drinks. The waiter didn't understand the menue though it was english. While waiting another incredible 40 minutes for our dinner, we saw a couple of cockroaches which didn't raise our appetite though we were starving. When we finally got our dinner we realized that everything before had only been the tip of the iceberg. Almost cold, a taste from yesterday and bonepieces in a chop suey were accompanied by extra dry rice. Rancid chips and rancid crispy chicken made it even worse. We couldn't even adjust the taste to somewhat different as there wasn't any salt, pepper, soy or oyster sauce on the table. We had enough and wanted to leave this so called restaurant as soon as possible but had to wait another 10 minutes for the bill. I would call this an epic fail, not worth a visit ever again.

Can't recommend this restaurant fot a pizza dinner. The pizza served is somewhat from carton and is totally overpriced. Service is a joke and is not familiar with a service attitude.

Nice restaurant, service was okay but the food (i can only speak for chicken) was not worth the price. Small portion and just warmed up.

The food is Ok..the service good but the restaurant is too noisy and not well decorated... Been there on some occasions some years ago so will have to stop by soon to see whether there is any change!!

La Terasse Is a very nice restaurant, or it is THE restaurant I have been looking for in a couple of weeks I was spending in Mauritius. Excellent food, well prepared and nicely decorated at fair and affordable prices. Service is quick, friendly and very helpful. I recommend this restaurant to anyone for a nice dinner.

Been to this restaurant on two occasions. One time was to have a few drinks amongst friends which had a nice atmosphere and good setup. The drinks were good, but a bit pricy for the quality you get. Not recommended if you know your drinks and enjoy quality stuff. The following time I went to the restaurant, ordered a fish meal, which had no taste first of all. I then asked the waiters that the meal was not good and it did not meet the appropriate standards. The fish was cooked nicely, good presentation, but had no taste at all. Therefore, could not be eaten. They were kind enough to ask whether I wanted another meal instead and I said No! Dinner was over, and came the time to pay the bill. To my great surprise, they included the meal that I barely ate on the bill and refused to take it off from the bill. I asked for the manager, and told him what happened and he, being a manager argued with me saying that he would not be able to do so. He even argued that any other place would do such thing even though I haven't had the food. I was against him and after couple of minutes of intense argument, he finally accepted it would not be reflected on the bill. Anyways, this was a really bad experience for me having had dinner there and I'm never going to dine there again. I also recommend anyone who want to go there to be careful and if you know your taste buds... do not venture at that place or you'll have a bad experience.

La Cigale is a small restaurant located directly at the road towards Grand Bay. It has inside and outside tables and the restaurant offers take-away. The service is very friendly and quick. The menue contains lots of typical Italian dishes and offers a nice variety of wines. Beside the regular dish you order you will have a small bowl with grinded grana di padano and a variety of pesti. The served pasta is well cooked, ask for al dente if you prefer. The quality of pizza is ok. Although the chefs try to prepare it nicely with garlic, herbs and spices, the pizza base has to be improved. The atmosphere is ok. In my opinion this restaurant is positively neutral, not bad, but not overwhealming either. If you are looking for gourmet food or for a bargain try later. If your priority is the service and atmosphere I can definitely recommend.

This italian restaurant is located right next to the banana bar and the gas station in Grand Bay. It has nice outside location and the man in charge is doing his best to make his guests comfortable. Service is quick but friendly from my definition is somewhat different. I think guests with big pockets are treated a nicer way. The menue has a large variety of pizza as well as wines. The food is allright but lacking a certain rafinesse. This restaurant does profit from its location, price and atmosphere not from quality or composition of food. In my opinion you have better price/value at other pizza places but atmosphere and location with the possibility of sneaking by the bar next door make it a place for having a nice dinner.

Went there on Valentine day to give it a shot. Ok not the best day to tryout a restaurant. But they had enough staff to cover about 15 tables and about 50 pax. Was greeted as soon we pass the door, got seated straight away. Waited 15 min for a waitress took our drink order by that time we had already chosen our main course. Waited 20 mins to get a cocktail and a coke. Waited 1 hour to get main course but luckily we got bread and butter to wait while the guys was working on the main dishes. Now the food part. Ordered grilled fish, wasnt a brillant idea. Fish was unsalted not even seasoned, i wonder what they were doing during that 1 hour to get the fish ready. Probably fishing the fish!!!!!I guess. During that time i ordered another cocktail for my wife...we got it...20 min later. Again guess they went picking the pineapple in the back garden to make the cocktail !!!! Desert part. Can we have the dessert menu plz. Sure... 10 min later, we dont have a desert menu but i can tell you whats on it, chocolate fondant, ice cream.... By that time i was too piss to order any desert. Good thing there was entertainment, sega dancers and singers, else waiting 1 hour i probaly hung myself in there or go fishing, pretty sure i can catch a fish faster.

Went there 2-3 time with da wife. For tequilas..hehehe Then decided to go for dinner 1 night with the parents, service nothing to complaints about as every1 know the wife and i there for leaving good tips. As soon we walk in got seated straight away and asked for drinks and was servered with 5 minutes. Food part. Starters was not that great, chefs was probably having issues with salt, food was too salty and was ask to get another one which this time was. All four of use got crispy squids that night. Main course..... Wife Lamb Steak...cooked outside, raw inside, probably defrost using a microwave or was thrown frozen directly to the pan. Lamb was 40% fat 20% bone 40% meat. And the meat was very chewy. Would recommend. My dad and myself ordered beef steak. Was very well seasoned and cooked, nothign to say about it. Mum got squid, supposely fresh squid, I should have write FRESH in bold. Like FRESHLY out of the freezer. Got the waitress to go over to ask the chef to taste it and she came back and goes like the chef said it taste like that because its FRESH..hahaha Sorry i ate fresh squid before and i know how fresh squid tate like....would recommend Desert was fine, nothing to complaint about, and tequilas was fine as well with FRESH lemon cut that same day ;-)
