The Best Peking Duck In Mauritius. Friendly Waiters. Quite Reasonable Prices. Good Chinese Food.

Everything Is Good. Except The Price: Very Expensive, Probably The Most Expensive Chinese Restaurant In Mauritius. On Sundays, Service Is Quite Bad (Must Wait A Lot To Get Your Food).

Good Food And Great Prices. The Only Problem Is: The Place Is A Little Bit Dirty (Ladies Won't Like It). The First Floor Is Cleaner Than The Ground Floor. It's Not A High Class Chinese Restaurant.

It has been 3 years since I,ve been Chez Pepe. I would agree with these fellow reviews that Pepe is an excellent restaurant and am personally been there several times and recommended people there as food was more than excellent...however it was a pity for me when on the 21st of November 2010 i went there with my family n friends...ordered for some pasta dishes, pizzas...and bruscheta.....I was very shocked about the quality of the food served....Bruscheta which was supposed to be served with a sort of tomato salad topping n olive oil was served with some red pizza sauce n tasted badly....the same sauce was used on the pizza ordered which came later n again it tasted like local sunny tomato juice was being used as the topping over the pizza which was moreover not cooked well....the fruiti dimare spagetti also was not great at all and had to order chilli paste to add taste to the food.....again i asked for a pinacollada which normally is prepared using coconut milk and instead i was served pinacolada prepared with canned nestle cream...later i learned that the previous cook is no more working chez pepe....so BEWARE guys before going there as u pay a lot to get only BAD FOOD>>>>

I went there only once. Tried their margherita pizza. It was not bad. Except that it was not seasoned enough so it tasted bland and the pizza crust was a bit overcooked, almost burnt. There were not many customers and the waitress` service was average.
RépondreLa Voglia Matta - Chez Marco

Voglia matta has got all the charm of an authentic Italian restaurant. The ingredients are fresh and well seasoned and have got, according to me, the closest taste to Italy that you could get in Mauritius. I tried their Vegetariana pizza with grilled vegetables, nice. My favourite is their 4 cheese pizza. The chicken bolognese lasagna is also worth a try. I love how there is more sauce than pasta in the lasagna. I have also tried the pesto lasagna, not recommended if you don`t like pine nuts, 'cause there`s a lot in it. All in all, Voglia Matta is a great place to spend some nice, casual family time.

We went there to try out their briyani. Heard it was good. But we reached there at 2 pm on a Friday and the briyani was over. We tried the friend rice and bol renverse instead. Both of them were good. The man at the door is congenial and the service is rapid. The price is really affordable. Worth a try.

Had gone to restaurant to celebrate engagement of friend. Space was a bit cramped albeit we were quite a big group. Menu not very varied, food was served tepid and undercooked, not very clean tables, the sauces were awful. Service was slow and almost absent so that you had to look actively for the person to get the bill and the end.

It's a very convenient place to buy take away food, but the waiters are really lazy and feel like they are been forced to work. But I like the food very much although the price is very close to a prestigious restaurant.

This is by far one of the worst restaurant I ever went to. I went with my auntie and brothers. We waited for than an hour for the waiters to come and take our order but they did not. In the end my auntie tore a piece of paper from her notebook and she wrote the order herself and handed it to the waiter. It took another one hour and a half for the food to come. The food was eventually served but no drinks. We kept asking asking for the drinks. It was when we asked for like the fifth time that the waiter told us the drinks were just put in the refrigerator and waiting for to chill.

I think this place is already famous all over the Island for its German specialities! Thanks to the German pastry specialist Romy who can bake all cakes if you just give her the name of them.. We ordered many cakes there, also for bigger events and not only ourselves but also our friends were always impressed, asking us from where this pastry is. Most delicious! I also tried their lunch and I must say I had the best Pannini ever in Mauritius there. Also the Pizza is worth trying!

Did not have the most enjoyable night!! The quality of the food served is not value for money!! With the various beers available, you would probably enjoy it if you want a night-out to have a drink!! Definitely only suited for beer drinkers!!

The very best Cappuchino in town, a perfect view for what's going on in the streets and at the beach. People are very friendly and the daily Express Lunch for 100 Rps. is cheap and delicious. A simple meal but very tasty. If you're courageous, try the chilli rum :-) I can recommend la rhumerie to anyone
