Namaste Restaurant

I ve been to the restaurant on the 1 feb 2011. it was an over priced average restaurant. i cannot explain why i paid such a price for food that was not that great. i really wish that they review their price . however the personnel was quite ok but still it does not acoount for the price

Je suis un habitué du restaurant namaste, certes, le prix est elevé, mais la qualité est au rendez-vous.
Hier soir, nous avons diné à ce restaurant, les grillades du tandoor en entrée sont un véritable délice, le poulet est fondant, l'agneau aussi, sans les morceaux de gras que l'on retrouve ailleurs.

mbiance cree par les vieux murs de pierre, les chandeliers et une douce musique traditonnelle indienne est tres agreable !
Nos plats se font attendre, mais les serveurs sont a l'ecoute et
agreables. Le plat arrive, servit dans de petits bols en cuivre tout a fait atipiques. La nourriture est delicieuse, on ne lesine pas sur la quantite, les morceaux de poulet sont gros et les parts aussi !
Comme dessert, une glace indienne delicieuse, joliment presentee avec une feuille de menthe.
Une vertiable experience, a refaire !

The decor is nice with the stone walls giving the restaurant a cache. Unfortunately the whole experience of eating at the restaurant was quite out of sync with the decor. The music was too loud and the service was slow. Food was such a disappointment! In terms of price and quality...it was quite a bummer! I would definitely scrap the restaurant from my list!

An experience never to be repeated. The decor of the restaurant is not too bad. A mix of old and new but the lighting is quite poor. I guess it's because they don't want you to see what your food looks like.

Most genuine indian restaurants offer you free papadum as entry because it takes a little while to prepare your dishes. However, nothing of that sort....

You just have to wait really long for your food and hope that you do not run out of conversation.

When you ask for spicy, you get huge bits and pieces of green chilli. You wonder if the chef is actually indian, because the curry does not taste quite genuine. Also, probably contains MSG as you feel incredibly thirsty way after your meal.

The menu cards are messy. The drinks cards are torn. Most drinks are out of stock. And no little indian sweet mouth freshener after you're done.

I guess this restaurant is trying in all ways to cut costs to afford an expensive rent.Lol, the chef's recommendations only appear next to the most expensive dishes. Quite biased i guess.

Not recommended at all. You want good indian food, go for Happy Rajah, Grand Bay or Quatres Bornes or even Chutney in PL is must better.
