Boulette Fromage (Cheese Balls)

    Melting and oozing on the inside, with a perfectly golden and crispy crust on the outside- these Cheese Balls are sure to make your mouth water.

    Ingredients

    • 1 cup |128g Flour (Half self raising and half all purpose flour)
    • 100g butter
    • salt to taste
    • black pepper
    • 1/2 cup sweetcorn
    • 1 1/2 cup shredded cheese
    • 3 beaten eggs
    • Half of onion, finely sliced
    • 1 chilli finely chopped
    • Breadcrumb for coating
    • ** You can keep in the freezer for up to 4 months

    Preparation

    1. Add 1 cup of water in a deep sauce pan over medium heat
    2. Add 100g of butter
    3. Gently heat so the butter melts
    4. Add 1 tbsp of salt
    5. Add black pepper
    6. Add 1 cup of flour (1/2 plain flour + 1/2 self raising flour)
    7. And beat vigorously with a wooden spoon until a smooth dough is obtained
    8. Transfer into a bowl and allow to cool
    9. Add 3 beaten eggs little by little and mix well
    10. Add 1/2 cup of sweet of corn
    11. Add half onion finely chopped or spring onion
    12. Add 1 finely chopped chilli
    13. Mix well
    14. Add 1 1/2 cup of shredded kraft cheese
    15. Mix until well incorporated
    16. Take 1 tbsp of the mixture and add into the breadcrumb
    17. Form into balls and coat well in the breadcrumb
    18. Heat some oil over medium low heat
    19. Fry the cheese balls until nicely coloured
    20. Place the fried cheese balls on kitchen paper to absord the extra oil
