Bread pudding is a bread-based dessert popular in many countries' cuisines. This is an easy bread pudding recipe made with simple ingredients. A total comfort food and a family favorite recipe!
Recipe Ingredients
- 1 French Baguette Bread (cut in cubes)
- 1 Lt Full Cream Milk
- 3 Tsp Milk Powder
- 6 Tsp Sugar
- 2 Tsp Custard Powder
- 2 Tsp Self Raising Flour
- Vanilla Essence
- 4 Tsp Butter
- 2 Tsp Semolina (Greau)
- 1 Tsp Baking Powder
Instructions
- Pour 1 lt full cream milk in bread cubes and soak for 30 mins (water can also be used instead)
- Crushed mix bread and milk (in case of water drain all water)
- Add 2 tsp self raising flour
- Add 3 tsp milk powder
- Add 2 tsp custard powder
- Add 2 tsp semolina powder
- Add 6 tsp sugar
- Add 2 eggs (optional)
- Add 4 tsp butter
- Add 1 tsp baking powder
- Add Raisins and vanilla essence
- Gently stir to combine
- Grease Mould
- You can use 2 cooking methods
- Oven : Preheat oven at 180°C. Cook for 25-30 minutes
- Gas Stove: Use a flat pan (Tawa) at lowest heat. Pour batter in mould and place on tawa for same period of time
- Best fresh and eaten the day it is made.
