Tawa Grilled Chicken Fillet Burger Recipe


Recipe Overview

There’s nothing better than a homemade burger. Tandoori chicken is one of the most tried non-veg Indian recipes that tastes great between a bun. No need to bring out the BBQ grill for this recipe, you can simply pan grill it on a tawa or a large flat plan.

Recipe Ingredients

  • 2 chicken breasts (cleaned)
  • (boneless and skinless)
  • 1 yoghurt (125g)
  • 1/2 tbsp garam masala
  • 1 tbsp tandoori spice
  • 2 tbsp ginger garlic paste
  • 1/2 lemon
  • 1/2 tbsp honey
  • olive oil and salt

Instructions

  1. Cut chicken breasts into fillets (make longitudinal cuts the length of the breasts)
  2. Mix with 1 yoghurt (125g)
  3. 1 tbsp salt
  4. 1/2 tbsp garam masala
  5. 1 tbsp tandoori spices
  6. 2 tbsp ginger garlic paste
  7. 1/2 fresh lemon juice
  8. 1/2 tbsp honey
  9. 1 tbsp olive oil
  10. Mix well to combine
  11. Cover and set aside for 1 hour to overnight
  12. Heat and grease with olive oil a non stick flat pan (or tawa) over medium heat
  13. Place marinated chicken on the flat pan
  14. Do not move chicken for 3 minutes once in the pan
  15. Reduce heat to minimum
  16. Flip chicken fillets once and leave for another 3 minutes
  17. Spoon the marinade sauce on the chicken (optional)
  18. Grease pan (or tawa) occasionally
  19. Cook until chicken fillets are soft and easy pierced with a fork
