Recipe Overview
There’s nothing better than a homemade burger. Tandoori chicken is one of the most tried non-veg Indian recipes that tastes great between a bun. No need to bring out the BBQ grill for this recipe, you can simply pan grill it on a tawa or a large flat plan.
Recipe Ingredients
- 2 chicken breasts (cleaned)
- (boneless and skinless)
- 1 yoghurt (125g)
- 1/2 tbsp garam masala
- 1 tbsp tandoori spice
- 2 tbsp ginger garlic paste
- 1/2 lemon
- 1/2 tbsp honey
- olive oil and salt
Instructions
- Cut chicken breasts into fillets (make longitudinal cuts the length of the breasts)
- Mix with 1 yoghurt (125g)
- 1 tbsp salt
- 1/2 tbsp garam masala
- 1 tbsp tandoori spices
- 2 tbsp ginger garlic paste
- 1/2 fresh lemon juice
- 1/2 tbsp honey
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- Mix well to combine
- Cover and set aside for 1 hour to overnight
- Heat and grease with olive oil a non stick flat pan (or tawa) over medium heat
- Place marinated chicken on the flat pan
- Do not move chicken for 3 minutes once in the pan
- Reduce heat to minimum
- Flip chicken fillets once and leave for another 3 minutes
- Spoon the marinade sauce on the chicken (optional)
- Grease pan (or tawa) occasionally
- Cook until chicken fillets are soft and easy pierced with a fork
