Recipe Overview
Savoury pancakes are quite appreciated by many mauritians. It is best served warm with a coriander/ tomato chutney.
Recipe Ingredients
- 2 Cups Plain Flour
- 1 Beaten Egg
- Chopped Spring Onions
- 4 Tbsp Melted Butter
- Salt
- Vegetable Oil
- Food Colour (yellow)
Instructions
- Mix flour with salt, melted butter and egg in a large bowl
- Gradually add water until a thick batter is obtained
- Add the chopped spring onions
- Add food colour (optional)
- Heat a pan on medium heat and grease with oil
- Gently spread the batter into a circle
- Let cook on both sides (about 40 seconds each side)
- Serve hot with chutney
