Recipe Overview
Though this may not sounds like the most appetising dish to a few, Chicken Livers are a classic, gourmet dish in Mauritius. Often served as a side dish or accompanied with a hot bread roll or baguette, Chicken Livers make for a delicious and hearty treat.
Recipe Ingredients
- 300g chicken liver
- 1 chopped onion
- 5 green chillies
- 1 Tbsp of ginger and garlic paste
- 1 Tsp of cumin powder
- 1 Tsp of coriander powder
- 1 Tbsp of briyani powder mix
- 1 Tbsp of soya sauce
- 1 Tbsp tomato paste
- Water
- Salt and Pepper
Instructions
- Heat oil in a pan and fry chopped onions
- Add garlic and ginger paste
- Add green chilies
- Add cumin and coriander powder and stir together
- Add briyani spice mix
- Now add cut up chicken liver to mixture including salt and pepper
- Mix with Soy sauce and tomato paste
- If necessary, add a little water to mixture
- DONE!
