Sauteed Chicken Liver Recipe


Recipe Overview

Though this may not sounds like the most appetising dish to a few, Chicken Livers are a classic, gourmet dish in Mauritius. Often served as a side dish or accompanied with a hot bread roll or baguette, Chicken Livers make for a delicious and hearty treat.

Recipe Ingredients

  • 300g chicken liver
  • 1 chopped onion
  • 5 green chillies
  • 1 Tbsp of ginger and garlic paste
  • 1 Tsp of cumin powder
  • 1 Tsp of coriander powder
  • 1 Tbsp of briyani powder mix
  • 1 Tbsp of soya sauce
  • 1 Tbsp tomato paste
  • Water
  • Salt and Pepper

Instructions

  • Heat oil in a pan and fry chopped onions
  • Add garlic and ginger paste
  • Add green chilies
  • Add cumin and coriander powder and stir together
  • Add briyani spice mix
  • Now add cut up chicken liver to mixture including salt and pepper
  • Mix with Soy sauce and tomato paste
  • If necessary, add a little water to mixture
  • DONE!
