Achard Pima (Pickled Chilli) Recipe

Recipe Overview

Pickled chillies are made out of either green or red chillies; the choice is yours. Combined with garlic, and tamarin, this condiment can be added to anything for a touch of spiciness. Add it to your noodles, sandwiches, rice dishes or anything else.

Recipe Ingredients

  • 1 Lb chilli
  • 2 tbsp garlic, crushed
  • 2 tbsp mustard, crushed
  • 1 tbsp chilli flakes
  • 1 tbsp tumeric
  • 2 tbsp salt
  • 2 tbsp tamarin
  • 5 tbsp oil


  • In a blender, blend the chillies
  • Into the crushed chillies add the following spices, tumeric, garlic, mustard salt and chilli flakes and mix them well
  • Now add the tamarind and mix
  • Finally add the oil and mix well until the chilli is well incorporate into the oil
  • Store in sterilised jars in fridge for upto 1 month
