Recipe Overview
Naan is a popular Indian bread, traditionally made in a ‘tandoor’- an Indian clay oven, but we now improvise and use other means, including a home oven. Stuffed with chicken mince, (or any other minced filling of your choice), this mouth-watering dish makes a great starter or main meal.
Recipe Ingredients
- 3 cups Flour
- Salt
- 1 tbsp Instant Yeast
- 1 tbsp Sugar
- 4 tbsp Butter
- Egg
- 1 tbsp Ghee
- 1 tbsp Fennel Seeds
- ½ cup Warm Water
- Minced Chicken (salt, black pepper, 1 large onion, 3 garlic cloves, 3 green chillies, chopped coriander)
Instructions
- Make dough by mixing flour, yeast, sugar, salt, ghee and water.
- Knead for 5mins
- Allow dough to rest and rise for 1hr
- Heat some oil and fry the minced chicken for 4-5mins adding ingredients as you fry
- Flatten out and butter the dough
- Add Keema ingredients
- Roll dough and cut then place on oven tray
- preheat oven to 190 degrees
- Brush naan with egg wash
- Bake for 30mins
- Brush with butter
- DONE!
