suite a un repas pris un samedi soir (restaurant presque vide deja c'est bizare ) alors pour un repas a 6 personnes plus de 7000 roupies d'addition nous avons commander chacun un steak fritte bon pour les gens mauricien la cuisson de la viande ne les a pas dérangé mais moi qui suit francais le steak etant trop cuit pratiquement grillé j'ai renvoyé mon plat en cuisine pour en avoir un moins grillé en leur disant bien que je voulais mon steak saignant mais ils en on ramener un autre presque aussi cuit que le premier . conclusion c'est un restaurant tres cher pour de la cuisine moyenne et en cuisine il ne savent pas cuire la viande corectement .a mon prochain voyage a maurice je ne remettrais pas les pieds dans ce restaurant . Il n'y avait que 4 ou 5 table de prise durant toute la soirée d'un samedi donc aucun doute sur la raison qu'il n'y avait personne pour un samedi soir

I was at Chez Manuel restaurant last Saturday, What a lovely restaurant, breath taking.. very well designed, nice garden.. in a line i would say.. to be in a paradise for couples of hours with gorgeous fairies around, the waitresses. They are charming, well groomed, well dressed and give a plus to the beauty of the restaurant. Food was delicious. I had fresh sea foods, salads and a dessert, "sagoo with an ice cream". Will surely drop by again. I believe if i hear originality and best prepared Chinese food I would say the address is Chez Manuel restaurant. Congratulaions Mr Manuel and the fabulous team of Chez Manuel..

I was at Chez Manuel to celebrate an important occasion and it was not bad... Service was ok and the food was ok. But I would advice other people going for a party to order individual plates . I order food for a certain number but it came there was not enough. Very low amount and for the price.. It was shocking. Paid 20000 in food and received for about 12000. Not worth it... Would not go that route again. But would go and eat there. yes. Next time I have a party of more than 10 I would order individual plates... I was not 100% happy. I would say i was 60%..

I went to this restaurant yesterday but was not satisfied.The food was not tasty n service nt so good.I was sitting near the kitchen it looked dirty.The price is very high compare to quality of food.I have been to many restaurants in mauritius n abroad but this one is the worst.

bonjour? je viens de lire la critique de monsieur ayer,je suis désolé monsieur vous devez etre un client vraiment difficile, j'habite à fuel qui se trouve meme pas à cinq kilometre de saint julien village et je connais bien la réputation de ce restaurant dans la région et j'ai moi meme gouter à sa cuisine notamment son riz frite que les mauriciens commande beaucoup chez lui d'ou la raison des tables vides ma femme est mauricienne mais moi je suis réunionnais donc aucune raison pour moir de passer la pommade mais moi je n'irai pas à l'ile maurice pour manger un steak frite allez donc au super marché et regarder les prix pratiqué sur la viande de boeuf et vous comprendrez le choix vous appartiens mais quand vous visiter un pays apprenez à connaitre plutot les gens et leurs coutumes ça vous évitera de dire des conneries...

Shit restaurant, got served soft drink expired since nearly 1 year (realized only after taking a sip) and on top of that owner was rude, not willing to accept his fault or even apologize. Will not go there again for sure.

well,well,well..greatness inspires envy.envy engenders spite.spite spawns lies.:) I say this because according to me this restaurant is just awesome.perfect location after a trip to the south of the island and I still don't see why some are complaining about its services.I mean come on!opinions are everywhere but it's always easier to hate than to love :) I've been there and I know what I am talking about. cheers.

Went there couple of times during my vacation in Mauritius, the restaurant was always very busy- I guess its because the food was quite good and cheap. For sure not due to service, its only ok.

One of the best Chinese restaurant in Port-Louis offering a kaleidoscope of Chinese & Mauritian cuisine in a veru modern set-up(recently renovated). Cheap & good food, friendly staff, rapid service. Suggested food-Starter: Ourite au saffran, calamar fondant, poulet croustillant. Main course : Poulet saute au noix de cajou, , gros crevette au noix de cajou, bol renverser.

J'ai toujours connu le restaurant comme excellent. Cette fois, quand j'ai voulu amender un menu pour 10 personnes, je n'ai pas trouve de service comme on devrait s'y attendre. J'ai trouve plus d'objections que de desir de d'aider... Dommage... bien que je sache qu'ils n'ont pas besoin de moi pour faire marcher le restaurant...

One of the best to have excellent chinese food so far ?

very excellent food specially grill and reverse bowl. i had this type of reverse bowl @ Manuel Restaurant but now it close to me can have it anytime. the ingredient almost 9 - 10 variety overall 200% delicious

The female staff there doesn't seem to want to work. I got noodles today and it was meant to be boiled noodles with chicken but the chicken seems to have been cooked yesterday, heated up today and put on my noodles. Plus there was no water in my noodles. That's the whole point of me taking boiled noodles. Plus they can't call the number. They give us a signal that the food is ready. Guess I'm a woman that's why their service may be pathetic towards me as I saw them before smiling and being nice to the opposite sex. Both genders are customers so I don't understand the whole point of discriminating between us

Having actually tried the brunch and lunch there, I will highly recommend this gastronomic restaurant. The food and portions is of reasonable and excellent quality. It is interesting to note that a lot of their food items is actually from the Maritim hotel property, therefore very fresh. Other than that the brunch is very value to money with eat as much gastronomic food as you can and drink as much sparkling rose as you can! What makes it exceptional is the welcome and service from the staff. I guarantee it will make your day. Hats off to the Chef Stephane Thuron who has been trained my Michelin chefs, to Ganesh and the adorable waiter Nitraj! Keep it up guys, you have one customer for life!! :-)

This is haute gastronomie cuisine, so if you go there you can expect the best, get your credit card ready and let your taste guide you. The atmosphere of the Balaclava ruins makes it a unique food outpost. A bit difficult to find even if you know Maritim Hotel. But is is really worth the pain. The last time I went there in Jan 2011, we could bring our wine and champagne without any corkage fee.

Super restaurant with the best "corn" fried fish we've eaten on thed Island. The food served was excellent. They served with a smile. Will recommend just for the excellent food.
