c'était samedi soir 31 octobre et je voulais épater un couple en visite à Maurice pour la première fois. Je connaissais le SUNSET GARDEN avec l'ancienne équipe il y a plus d'un an et surtout les plats de langouste. Et bien croyez moi. le personnel est tout nouveau .. y en a même on se demande ce qu'ils font la??? des porteuses de plats... pour la langouste gillée affichée à 750 roupies et entre parenthèses: 500grammes... oui 500 grammes. L'assiette est arrivée après moults rappels. surprise surprise??? à peine 250grs dans l'assiette avec beaucoup de verdure autour. en deux bouchées le couple avait fini de diner.. interpellé le cuisinier se pointe et se démonte pas en affirmant qu'il a pesé la langouste.. je lui propose de venir avec lui en cuisine pour lui montrer combien pèse 500gramme!! bref il s'en va et revient un autre chef qui écoutait pas et fini par me dire d'accord vous ne payerez pas 500grs mais 250grs!!! et la note arrive car le dessert ne passait plus. Pas de rince doigts; je l'ai réclamé il est arrivé avec des fourmis dans de l'eau chaude!! la totale. la facture de la langouste était tjrs à 750rs. je renvoie la note au chef de la cuisine et il enlève 620roupies!!!!!!!!! les chiffres dans ce resto??? peu importe le prix mais cela sent de la hautre arnaque cela s'appelle "couillonner le gogo" de touriste qui a toujours préféré une crevette à la langouste. surement à cause du prix. mais la. le prix est bon mais le poids n'y est plus. Vite une balance après celle la pour la SUNSET GARDEN.. ça viendra;; après le contrôle sanitaire. juré!!! un expat dégouté par la méthode de la nouvelle équipe du GARDEN.. fuyez ou demandez de voir la gueule, plutôt le poids, de vos langoustes avant cuisson ou grillade... je vous l'avez dit messieurs du SUNSET SOYEZ PRO OU VOUS DISPARAITREZ comme de la mauvaise herbes. controlez aussi vos factures il y a aussi des surprises dans les additions;; la ausi ça marche fort. et on vous répond c'est la faute des stagiaires!!!! hahah rigolo Marc

This restaurant has been renovated since 5 years i think. it has uncompetant waiters!! the price is toooo cheap and it accomodates only a few person!!!! Very dull. the food has tastes good.

If you've got lots of money and want to donate some blindly, then go to Chez Patrick Restaurant - Mahebourg. The food is of moderate type, but the price is HOT!

i was very surprised, this restaurant is unique and the food is very delicious, the coctails was incredible . its a really cosy garden

All KFC's in Mauritius were recently closed down due to unhealthy food preparation and chicken contaminated with Salmonella. Eat here at your own risk. The chicken and any other food item fried here, always has a funny taste. I don't think they ever change the oil & fry everything in the same oil. Most of the time when they serve your food they get the fries 1st, then the chicken which always takes ages, so when you finally get your food the fries are always cold. I hate cold fries.

Communication from staff very poor. Asked if food contained MSG & they weren't able to tell us. Food was not nice at all. We were the only customers in the restaurant, which should have alerted us that eating here wasn't a good idea. Won't be returning to give them 2nd chance.

amazing food, highly recommend, more expensive than luigi and other Italian restaurants in grand baie.

La terrasse serves excellent typical mauritian food including fish dishes at a very affordable price (Rs 200 to 300 per main dishes). The atmosphere is very chilled out, it has a nice breeze and candle lights makes it very cosy. the staff is also very friendly. Only inconvenient is that since the restaurant is located above the main road, it can get noisy and it is not always easy to park. Overall is a very nice place to go with your partner or with some friends for a chilled out time.

The Le Dix Neuf restaurant overlooks the golf course and my family all agreed with me that the place looks like a postcard. With a warm greeting, the waiter welcomed us with cocktails. My only complaint was that he also served my daughter, who is only 17, but once i told him of her age he immediately replaced it with a non-alcoholic drink. And as the weather was very pleasant and not too hot, we sat outside on the terrace. As far as the cuisine is concerned, it is a fusion of European and Mauritian. I had the tuna from the specials, my daughter a salad and my wife had the lamb. We all enjoyed it, even though my daughters salad was rather small in comparison to our dishes. I was told by the waiter that the chef presents a different dish every day, so its worth to come back and check the daily menu. For dessert we all shared the chocolate moelleux. It has a crunchy coating and the chocolate was literally melting inside- definitely a great dessert to end a good meal.

Today 20 Oct 2009. I placed an order through phone to pick up a vegetarian pizza which was on promotion. I insisted to the teleagent that the pizza should be veg and will be collected from Ebene at 6.00 pm. After taking delivery and driven home (40 km from Ebene) I realised that two of the pans of pizza were non veg. As we were fasting we couldnt eat the pizza. I called the teleagent who asked someone the restaurant to call me back. This was done 15 mins later and the reaction of the caller was that as am 40 km away, delivery of a veg pizza is not possible. But worse than that, he laughingly advised to eat the veg pizza and give the non veg ones to the dogs. And that the next day he will get a veg pizza delivered to me. This is the most unpleasant and disgusting remark I had from a sales person. I am not requesting a formal apology from Pizza hut and will surely think twice before I buy a pizza from them.

Mon mari et moi avons décidé d'essayer cet endroit et nous avons été très heureux que nous avons fait. La nourriture était délicieuse. le service a été très amical Je recommande vivement cet endroit à n'importe qui dans l'île Maurice.

good easy to find location. ate with friends, each of us ordered something else..really top Mauritian food and seafood at local prices- for sure better and cheaper than hotel. very nice view a great value and well worth the visit.

Burgers are really nice in compare to other Mc's, the prices are cheaper than MC in the US and in Europe. The price of Mac Royal menu is 119 Rs and in general all menu meals are between 110 - 130 Rs. Even though it was quite busy the service was very friendly. However the toilets were not cleaned which is always a bad sign, and when I asked them to clean it and to give me toilet paper they ignore my request like they really did not care. When I came to MC second time during yesterday, the toilets were still missing soap and toilet paper so I guess it is part of the deal. The MC is situated right next to the Caudan shopping center in the center of Port Louis (on the corner of the main street).

ill start from the dessert - the banana flambee was a great ending to the meal. the sea food platter was also great cocktails were strong with plenty of alchohol :-) the service was only good

Nunja, was soll ich sagen? Beim ersten mal dachte ich: "ok, der Koch hat einen schlechten Tag und ein Fastfood-Stand ist ja auch nichts für Gourmets aber beim zweiten mal war es noch schlechter. Das Steak wirkte wie gekocht, war mit der Faser geschnitten und die Kuh war wohl schon Urgroßmutter?! Also auch wenn man nur schnell mal was essen möchte, macht dieses "Restaurant" der Steakhaus-Küche richtig Schande! Sorry.

Café Müller - der Name sagt Alles! Insofern ein Muß für jeden Deutschen, obwohl die Küche viel mauritisches zu bieten hat und Maren Müller ständig bemüht ist eine ausgewogene Küche zu präsentieren. Der Apfelstrudel ist jedoch deutsch und sehr zu empfehlen!!! Sozusagen der "Bringer" Samstags gibts fast immer einen Bruch wo viele Spezialitäten auf dem Buffet im Angebot sind. Sehr schmackhaft und daher ist es angebracht sich vorher anzumelden, ansonsten kann es leicht passieren das man einige Zeit auf einen freiwerdenden Tisch warten muß. Die Erwartungen aber nicht zu hoch stecken, denn - Eisbein gibt es NICHT!

We went to Luigi's this evening, 3 people. We were warmly greeted the second we got there even though it was already quite busy. We immediately felt at home, what a fantastic atmosphere! We shared a few starters: Garlic bread, calamaris (which were to die for!) and a terrific eggplant melanzane. The friendly restaurant owners, Renata and her husband, came to check we were having a good time and enjoying our food. For the main courses we shared a few pizzas: The Hawaiian, Murano and Siciliana. All were finger licking good! We also tried the Salmon Ravioli and the seafood pasta, and there were no disappointments here either: the pasta was made to perfection and the sauces were great. No meal is complete without dessert, and we had the tiramisu, the brownies with ice cream and the house specialty: Ebony and ivory - which is a mousse made of 2 layers of dark and white chocolate. The prices were more than reasonable and the whole meal including all drinks was around 2200 rupees. We will definitely come back to Luigi's on our next trip to Mauritius. I highly recommend them!
