Cadre magnifique et table excellente pour un prix très raisonnable (460 roupies entrée plat dessert). On y retournera encore pendant notre séjour!

Went on a tour that took us to this restaurant by a tour operator. We aksed to go to another restaurant and the driver told us it was closed (which later we found out wasnt true, and we also found out that drivers get 350rs for each customer they bring). The food was ok, the portions were very small, but all of us good really bad food poisoning! Be warned!

Well, I was waiting for writing this review pretty long time, when arrived (during the tour), it was extremely obvious that this visit was pre-set and no one was able to try another place since such effort is blocked immediately by driver which is trying to gather as much people he could, it was rather easy since there were no questions and everyone marched into this hole. The waiters were pretty loaded, I sat on completely dirty table and was lucky enough that someone came around and replaced it. I was probably not lucrative enough since I came to this tour completely alone, all waiters tried to process me as fast as they could which was not so comfortable. I wanted to have some speciality from menu (don't remember exactly what it was), but it was currently not available so I ordered regular steak, I didn't waited long... I can't believe they call themselves an restaurant, they should try more suitable label like 'fast-food', they were faster than Steers! This status I assigned cannot be saved with the bread served with local Chamarel cucumber on beginning. I ordered medium-rare Steak, I got well done on borders and bloody inside, chef is probably under heavy order pressure, since so many tourist are forced to come to this place! Damn, I didn't complained, had absolutelly no mood for that so I concentrated my envy on this review. But this isn't enough, eating this steak was also very very bad mistake, few hours after came unbeliveable stomach problem, I cannot asociate this with restaurant, but I have to mention this since someone else wrote in another review that they had similar problems. Btw I asked some tourists which came in group and seems they enjoyed their chicken, but what can be done wrong on chicken... About service that's different chapter, the food was literally thrown on the table, I'm not commenting futher on this, can't believe he served me that way, I'm not any animal, not any number... thanks for understanding. Definitely not worth the money, prices are too high for such low quality. Worst experience on South-West tour right after visit of Diamond Factory.

we visited that restaurant last year its was during my son birthday we were recommended by a friend we have had a nice day the food was really good especially the fish fillet with mushroom sauce and service was excellent. we were so happy that we came back again we like the place and the service especially the grill garden if you are used to the restaurant do asked your local menu you get around 40 to 50 % discount from normal price.Or meet the chef he is very friendly he make a special price for you and you will really enjoys Advice asked for your local price and have a nice meal

Un piège à touriste inacceptable. Amenés par un taxi qui devait toucher une commission, nous avons d'abord été surpris par les prix bien au dessus de la moyenne habituelle. Nous avons donc espéré une cuisine à la hauteur... Fatal error !! Plats insipides, service très long et peu attentionné. Restaurant à éviter.

Bonjour, J'écris ces quelques mots car je me dois de le faire. Adorant Moris, je ne comprends pas comment il peut exister de tel restaurant! Du pur vol! Plus cher que le domaine Anna, c'est pour dire, mais sans le cadre idyllique ni le service de qualité. Un patron sans sourire et insipide, qui change d'attitude dès qu'un bus de touriste arrive. Des serveuses tout aussi peu agréables. Je connais l'île depuis 2003, ai diné et déjeuné dans un tas de restaurant,même mangé sur le bord de la route avec de petits marchands, mais c'est la première que je repars la gorge serrée, avec le dégout d'avoir donner 3000 rs à un restaurateur! Il est inadmissible de proposer de tel prix à la carte, et de ne pas avoir un service de qualité. L'ambiance était horrible et froide, et les serveuses s'impatientaient car nous n'allions pas assez vite pour choisir ce que nous allions manger et boire. Nous avons vraiment été déçu, et ce resto nous a gâché une partie de notre journée d'excursion. CE RESTAURANT EST TOUT SIMPLEMENT UN ATTRAPE TOURISTE CINGLANT ET INDIGNE D'ÊTRE SUR LE TERRITOIRE MAURICIEN. Mo mari déçu par sa restaurant et mo pas compran coma dimoun cave faire ça! Li cave dormi a soir!...

Went to Chamarel on our honeymoon trip last week and our taximan brought us to Chez Ruben Restaurant. We ordered Fresh Palm heart Salad and Shrimp+squid with garlic Butter sauce, it was sososo delicious and the sauce was AMAZING. As main course we have had chicken with prawn curry and whole fresh fish grilled with a typical sauce there...it was just perfection, from the beginning to the deserts, including the service - everything was perfect. Special thanks to the Chef and for our taximan Mr.Fahim.

Alors là par contre, j'ai adoré. Vous vous sentez bien Chez Rosy et sa cuisine est authentique, c'est vraiment des saveurs que je recherchais. Il y a quelque chose de vraie dans cette cuisine et c'est cela qui m'a touché. Le rapport qualité prix est très bien. J'y retournerai certainement lors de mon prochain voyage.

i agree with all the comments but one thing is out of comprehention, That no credit card accepted,this is a big inconvenient for clients having no notes in the wallet. take care!!!

cuisine authentique dans un cadre et une ambiance sympa et meme si nous logeons dans le nord, on y revient souvent Attention, le weekend il vaut mieux reserver

Went with family and friends after visiting the Rochestar Falls for Fresh Water Swimming and Diving. The Chicken Curry ,Fish Curry , Prawn Curry was awesome. Had been looking to get some nice authentic Mauritian Food to taste and enjoy. I Finally found it.

Nous avons fait un merveilleux repas, l'année dernière, pour les 50 ans de mon ami. Délicieuse salade d'ourrite, langoustes et desserts sublimes ! Nous ne rêvons que d'une chose, pouvoir y retourner un jour ! Et Rosy est adorable, un grand merci !

Enjoyed the food there. Was very nice, good and tasty. A great souvenir from there. Will definitely go again if ever I go back on vacation to Mauritius.
