I felt at home with the SA music playing in the background. Your service is superb, your friendliness and hospitality will make many new clients enjoy Cafe International!! Annemarie, your calamari and wafels are the best I have ever had and I cant wait to try the rest of your menu items. Well done ! I knew it would be expensive, but this was RIDICULOUS!! Cafe La Fournaise reviewed by: Judy Brown on 04/05/2010 We were pleased to see a great looking coffee shop in Grand Baie with nice sidewalk seating area, Grand Baie could really use a lot more sidewalk type cafes so we were interested to try this one. On our first visit there were 4 people sitting in the outside area and just 1 person inside. We took a seat in the very nice indoor area, after 5 minutes of being ignored we... Read More » started trying to get the waiters attention to no avail. After 10 minutes we were quite annoyed and after another couple of minutes we left without having been served or even acknowledged. A month or so later we gave it another try and sat outside which was really nice on a warm day. The service was better but not great, the food was ok, we both had a chicken salad which was nicely presented and quite tasty. The coffee which should really be very good in this type of cafe was not warm. We sent the coffee back explaining to the waiter that it was not hot, when he took it inside it was obvious that the lady inside who could have been the manager or owner was not at all happy with us sending it back. She looked at us as though we were causing a big problem but never came out to speak to us. Anyway the second cup arrived hot but a very average cup of coffee. Not going to rush back anytime soon. Domaine Anna Restaurant reviewed by: Moh on 03/05/2010 That's a really beautiful place with a superbe setting. The waterfall with tables around is wonderful. The food was really really good and we received quite a good service. One drawback maybe was the price of the food. I personally thought that their prices were a bit too high as compared to other restos around. But if are looking for a romantic place with a beautiful setting I would definitely recommend it!! Maybe because I was there with a grp of friends but it is a very lively and joyful place. Although I would not totally recommend you this place if you are with ur lover and looking for some romantic place. Let's face it, most of us go to restos for the food not to see people... Read More » sitting quietly or whatever. The food is really nice and very affordable too. We received quite a good service and enjoyed it.
