Nando's (Nandos) Trianon

We were there 2-3 weeks ago. Very nicely decorated with good atmosphere.
Food was also good.
So why the average rating? Because we were shocked to see the person in charge of the restaurant (not the cook) was grilling the food, without any hat on and no professional cooking clothes. He also afterwards went to shake hands with many people in the restaurant without even...

cleaning his hands or changing his clothes.
The person replacing him by the grill after he left his position was also without any hat on his head.
Very far from hygienic. I don't think I will come again there.

Bit of a hit and miss this one.

The food is pretty much the same quality each time with a few exceptions.

However, the service is entirely dependant on the waiter. Some are excellent, some are OK and some are downright poor.

The last couple of times I went, I had the unpleasant experience of being served by the same poor waiter (just my luck!).

First time I went, he...

messed up the main course order because he couldn't be bothered to come closer to the table. Instead he stood upright and allowed his "super-hearing" to take the order, despite the loud noise from the people talking and the loud music!

The second time I went, I waited a whole 15 minutes for the same guy to take my order. He was more interested in another customer who came in 5 minutes after and would you believe, got served before me.

I had ordered a chicken burger with chips and the order came after only a few minutes. However, the bread used for the burger was NOT their standard soft bread bun. Instead, they had served me a "du pain maison". Yep, the typical Mauritian, hard, cheap and cheerful bread!

At first I thought it was a joke, then I looked at the guy sitting a few tables away and he also had the same type of bread. I was not impressed! Poor stock control and even poor judgement on the Manager's part to offer such a cheap inferior replacement.

So to sum up, sometimes good sometimes bad.

Food was rather bland, but we only had a choice of either eating there in in the Trianon food court when its full on the weekends, so really not much choice.

The service is quite rapid and the food is excellent. Value for money. But at phoenix, it's take time to have available seats as it's always full.
NO SERVATION can be done. Very bad for that.

Else, I will recommend to visit Nados.

I had a positive experience... The atmosphere in overall is "average" because of the Portuguese music. The food was excellent but as Ziad told "However, there is no guarantee that other ingredients used in the food preparation is halaal." The price was very very expensive.

Restaurant is very noisy being given that music on is played very loudly. This is very annoying when you want to chat with your friends/family.
It seems that the chicken is halaal. However, there is no guarantee that other ingredients used in the food preparation is halaal.
