Le Bistrot du Port

First of all, we only stopped here to grab a mid-afternoon treat while touring Port Louis last Saturday, so our review may not be an entirely fair reflection of this cafe.

It has a great location overlooking the harbour, marred a little by the odd smell coming off the water (which is, of course, not their fault).

A nice place to sit in the lunch and...

afternoon, complimented well by an excellent singer with a good repertoire. Truly, I'd go there to here her again, her voice was amazing.

The food (just an icecream and a flambeed banana, was slow to come, and unremarkable. Obviously bought ice cream with squirty cream and now effort to make the experience anything more than cafe snack.

Waitresses were polite, but the whole experience is very pushy along the front there, with waiters acosting you for the different establishments.
