wild boar with fruit beer! the beer selection is also the best i've seen, even outside of mauritius. what annoyed us is that lots of beers we ordered were not available. but they had plenty more! the old house is so beautiful. overall great place

I've previously had nothing but excellent reviews for this restaurant but last night I had one of the worst dining experiences in Mauritius. The service was disgusting and the food even worse. We (8 in total) arrived at 8pm, had to ask 45min later for our drinks order to be taken. Our starters finally arrived at 10pm (we asked for some bread at least but we were told...

they had run out & 2 of the ladies are pregnant so you can imagine how hungry we were). The mains: lamb, pork, steak - not one was good. The lamb and pork were dry and the 2 guys who ordered the same steaks had completely different dishes - one arrived with sloppy veg the other arrived with stale potatoe wedges (I'm not exagerating when I say stale). I found a nice crissy hair in my dried out lamb...
As compensation they offered me a free dessert but by this time it was middnight and we were told we would have to wait 25 minutes for ANY dessert......
The manager stayed behind the till all night, not once showing his face...... it could not have gotten any worse!!!

Following my previous visit for lunch, I was eager to return to Lambic for dinner. This time, I ordered Venission with a "marchand de vin" sauce while my friend had the "Roulade de poulet". Again, the quality of the food was outstanding. For dessert, we ordered a chocolate fudge and "tuilles". It was one of the best we ever had in a restaurant....

Perhaps the only recommendation I can make is to start upgrading their menu but also I reckon the portions could be slightly bigger. Highly recommended though and I will surely visit it again.

just the beer is ok but the food is not nice. The service also is terrible and there are jst some staff to take care of you. Had to wait longer to get someone to take the order

Went there for a late lunch. My friend has a chicken breast with some mushroom sauce and I had shrimps with a creamy & spicy sauce and riz a l'anciene. for the price, it is expensive but worth the quality of the food served. Will definitely go there again, perhaps for dinner.

Did not have the most enjoyable night!! The quality of the food served is not value for money!! With the various beers available, you would probably enjoy it if you want a night-out to have a drink!! Definitely only suited for beer drinkers!!

They would have to have the best selections of beers in Mauritius. Good atmosphere, friendly service. I will always being going back there for a pint. Would recommend to anyone who wants to drink something different to Phoenix.
