This local humble restaurant right next to Pereybere beach (on the bus station!) is definitely worth the visit, it's ran by local Indian family and service is amazingly friendly. I always enjoy talking with staff. Also there is second floor, if you are couple, definitelly worth going upstairs to enjoy quiet dinner without road on sight! I visited this restaurant many times, so I must write here a suprises you will never expect from this place on first sight! Order Pinacolada or some other crazy cocktail, the decoration is so amazing! Their speciality is BBQ, especially Marlin and Red Snapper. You cannot find these in menu, choose always outside, everything offered for 2day is shown behing glass.

In April is comming some reconstruction and restaurant will be closed, the food is perfect, after reconstruction I expect even nicer look, can't wait!

Indian Fusion Restaurant / Bar

We went to Fusion Restaurant/Bar located in Pereybere public beach as per a recommendation of a local Mauritian friend.

There are a few things you notice when you get there: Firstly, the amazing smell of the fish and meat being grilled at the entrance of the establishment, and Second, the place was very busy on a weeknight and most of the clientele was local, which is...

always a good sign for a restaurant.

Once we sat down we were immediately served bread along with two spreads: coconut and tomato. Both were a bit spicy (Just like we like!) and accompanied the bread perfectly.
For the first courses we shared a shrimp cocktail and shrimp croquettes, which we enjoyed very much.

For the main course we went for two fish dishes and one chicken dish: We ordered the red snapper and Marlin and one order of butter chicken. You can actually choose your fish fillet from the display window at the entrance.. they all look so fresh!

The fish was served accompanied by salad, vegetables and rice. One bite was enough for us to know we'd won the jackpot: this was undoubtedly the best fish we'd ever had: The meat of the fish was so soft and delicious and was obviously prepared by a grill master! Both the red snapper and Marlin were basted with a secret sauce which gave them an unbelievable taste.. Wow!!

The butter chicken was good too, but I'd recommend to stick to the fish here, no doubt this is what they do best.

The fish were between 300-400 MUR per dish, which is more than reasonable for the great food you get.

I definitely look forward to coming back to Fusion on my next trip to Mauritius.

The best fish in Town!

They have a grill outside, on which they cook Marlin and Red Snapper - and it tastes divine!

I have been to many restaurants in Mauritius, and though this one is one of the cheaper ones, the fish is really better than anywhere else.

This place is a must!
