Hong Kong Emporium

I got tempted to visit this restaurant since i have been to the restaurant before it changed ownership. It is sad to say this was an utter disaster.

a) This is a very large restaurant and there was only 2 waiters..

best peking duck.

c) The peking duck was MUR 1200 and it was not even worth MUR 200. We were served tiny bits of duck strips on a PLATE.. normally the chef/vice chef (:-)) do the honours in front of the customers..

d) The cashier people(2 women and 1 man) were dressed unprofessionally and in such a large restaurant they spent their time cracking up among themselves and not even making sure that things were going well with the customers.

e) the table cloth was stained even before we sat there..

f) The cocktails were horrible.. over-dosed and they had pop music in a restaurant where there were "chandeliers" on the ceiling..?? there is someth wrong there!

oh well my list goes on. I do not want to even think abt the restaurant.

In a restaurant with about 25-30 tables, they had only 3 tables occupied during the whole night. And now i understand why.

I feel bad.. this place could have been better managed and given back its own glory.
